Jack had finally moved to LA to live with Mark. They'd been living with each other for about a month when Jack started acting a little weird.
They were watching a movie together and near the end, Jack was squirming. Mark asked him what was wrong, but Jack just shook his head. As soon as the movie ended, Jack wriggled out of Mark's arm and shot up off of the couch. "I'm going to the store. Be back soon," and with that, he grabbed Mark's keys and was out of the door. Mark was left confused and a bit worried about his boyfriend.
Jack sped through the isles of the store, hoping to God there wasn't any blood on his jeans. He finally found pads and tampons, buying one box of each. He went down the frozen section and got some ice cream, rocky road, and grabbed some sodas since they were running low. The cashier rang up Jack's items and gave him a smile. "So sweet, buying things for your girlfriend?" she awed. "Yeah, something like that," he murmured, plastering a fake smile.
Before he left the store, he ran into the men's bathroom and closed himself in a stall. He tried to be discreet about opening the box and a pad, but that obviously was not going to happen. "Who's eating chips in here?" someone blurted out. Jack froze, not even daring to breath, his face turning red. The guy left eventually, leaving only Jack and his rapid heartbeat.
When he got home, Mark was sitting on the couch, on his phone. He turned around when Jack opened the door. He set the sodas and ice cream on a table on the kitchen. "Got soda and ice cream, be right back." Jack hurried up the stairs and shoved the boxes in the back of a cabinet in the bathroom and jogged back downstairs. Marks was putting the ice cream in the freezer.
"Are you okay?" Mark asked Jack, wrapping an arm around the man's shoulders, placing a kiss on his forehead. Jack sighed. "Yeah, I'm good," he answered, shifting to wrap his arms around Mark. Mark pulled back and held Jack at arms length. "Come on, Jack. Please don't hide things from me," he frowned, knowing he was being a little rude because he was so nosey, and he was making Jack uncomfortable. But they were dating. What would be so bad that Jack couldn't tell him?
Jack fidgeted with the hem of his jacket, tears threatening to spill- oh there it goes, he's crying now. Mark cupped Jack's face with his hands, wiping his tears with his thumbs. "I- I'm- I was born a girl," he cried out. His eyes widened after he said it, like he couldn't believe the words came out of his mouth. More tears, more than you could imagine, streamed down his face.
Mark was surprised, to say the least. Jack looked like he was born a boy, he had a beard and didn't have boobs. Then again, he did appear feminine sometimes. Mark snapped out of his thoughts and embraced Jack. "It's okay," he cooed. "It doesn't matter. You're a boy," he said, not really knowing what else he could say in this situation. Jack's sobs became quieter as he clung to Mark.
"Do you still love me?" Jack squeaked. Mark hadn't noticed how Jack's Irish accent became more apparent when he was crying.
"Always. Nothing can change that."
