(AU where basically if you write on your skin, your soul mate can see the same image on their own skin)
You didn't know who your "soulmate" was, you just hoped he didn't get a tattoo. You didn't want permanent marks on your body, especially ones that you didn't even sign up for. Every so often, though, you'd get sloppy little words on your palm. The words were usually lists or names of video games. You'd always thought, just get a notepad.
To be fair, you didn't mind all that much. When you got bored one day at work, you drew a tree on your arm. A few minutes later, the word "wow" appears beside the tree. You smiled to yourself. It was oddly comforting to have this connection with someone you didn't know, who would be very important in your life later on. You took a lunch break and went out to a small restaurant. You sat inside for a while, sipping on hot chocolate because you weren't really hungry.
A boy with green hair caught your eye. (Who couldn't notice that hair?) He went up to the counter and paid for some food. The lady told him a number to remember for when his order was ready. He pulled out a pen and scribbled on his palm. A 6 appeared on your skin. You stared at the boy, looking for a tree on his arm. But he was wearing a hoodie, so if it was there, you wouldn't have been able to see it. You had an idea.
You scrambled for a pen in your purse, and on the back of your hand, you wrote, "Found you?" You added a question mark because you didn't know if it was him. It was a while before he looked at his hand. He looked up, eyes scanning the room until they met yours. You smiled at him. He smiled back, getting out of his seat and walking to where you were sitting. He took the seat across from you, outstretching his open hand.
"My name is Jack."
(A/N) Okay so I'm leaving it there! Maybe. . . . Would you like a part 2? Let me know!
