You opened up Skype and called Jack. While you waited for him to answer, you continued to doodle a little in your sketchbook. "Hey babe, merry Christmas!" his bright smile appeared on your phonr, albeit a little laggy at first. You absolutely melted, all you wanted was to hold him. "Hey Jack, merry Christmas to you too," you sing-songed. You could tell he was video chatting through his phone. "What're you drawing?" he asked. He must've saw you move your sketchbook over to the side. A blush crept into your cheeks. "I was doodling you," you smiled. He smirked, then asking, "can I see?"
You flipped to the page. It was just a pencil sketch of a kind of cartoony Jack with a Santa hat, you know, cos it's Christmas time. You turned the book to your camera. "Woah! That's pretty neat!" he exclaimed in awe.
"Don't flatter me," you giggled. "I know you receive better fan art than that on the daily," you pointed out. He shrugged. "Sure, some might be higher quality, but yours are by far my favorite," he gushed.
"Oh shush. Anyway, what are you doing?"
"Just got done unwrapping presents with everyone, what about you?"
"I did too, and I got your gift. Thank you so much!" you yelled happily. Suddenly a little girl, maybe about six years old, appeared on screen. "Jackjack!" she yelled as she climbed on your boyfriend. "Who that?" she poked at the phone. Jack grabbed her tiny hand, as she was about to accidentally end the call. "That's my girlfriend," he smiled down at her. "(Y/N), this my brother's daughter, Macey."
You smiled and waved, "hello Macey!"
The little girl smiled really big and turned to Jack. "Can she be my girlfriend too?"
"No, she's my girlfriend! You're not meant to share girlfriends!" Jack laughed. Macey pouted but Jack just poked her cheek. "Oh come on, she can still be your friend," Jack tried to cheer her up. It worked and a smile was back on her face. "Okie dokie."
"I really miss you," he said quietly, wrapping an arm around Macey. "I love you."
"I know," you responded.
"Hey!" He giggled. "Don't Han Solo me!"
You heard a knocking at your door and frowned. "I gotta go," you said. "Aw man. Okay, love. Talk to you soon."
"Mhm, love you," "Love you too,"
You hung up and returned to the family lunch, again wishing you could just hold Jack.
At the end of the day, you were exhausted. You'd finally returned home and flopped onto your bed. You were about to just pass out when you realized you hadn't called Jack since before lunch. Well it was too late now. He was probably asleep. It was really late, or rather extremely early, in Irelnad. You sighed and told yourself you'd call him first thing in the morning.
Just as you were drifting off, you heard loud knocking. So far away, it must've been at your front door. You trudged down the halls, your eyes squinted in tiredness and annoyance. You looked through the peephole and suddenly you weren't tired anymore. You frantically unlocked the door and flung it open, flinging yourself into Jack's arms. He laughed and wrapped his arms around you. You both stood like that for a minute or two, but who was counting? You were. You wanted to cherish every second he was with you.
One hell of a Christmas present, huh?
