(Jane's POV)

I got ready to leave informing my mom as I went downstairs.

"Come home early okay? Me and your father will be gone the whole day and ! We'll be back the next day in the afternoon." She shouted and I just nod.

"Jane, meet Grinny. Grinny the cat." Liu had the cat in his hands and showed it to me.

The name is the same as the cat living in the Creepy Pasta mansion. And it looks like it too but more skinny.

"Hi." I simply greeted. I'm kind of terrified of that cat now. Why did I come here?

Jeff was setting up the cat's bed and other essentials. Which consisted of a pillow in a basket and a blanket.

"Want to pet me, Janey?" Liu said with a small voice. I nodded and hesitantly pet it's head.

"Hey! That's my nickname for her." I heard Jeff complain.

"Can't we both call her that?" Liu asked.

"No, only I can." He pouted.

"It's just a nickname Jeff." I said. Jeff grumbled something under his breath.

Weird. I've never seen him act like this before. He seems very possessive I guess? But seriously, it's just a nickname. Besides, I actually hate it. =_=

"It's fine. Bro, I get it." Liu put his hands up in surrender.

Okay? Am I the only one who doesn't know what's going on?

Jeff looked away and didn't reply. There was awkward silence.

"So, how long have you guys had the little guy?" I took the cat from Liu's hands.

"Almost five days. I found him injured so I decided to bring it home and treat it's wounds." Liu answered.

"He really likes animals. He keeps bringing them home even when we were little. Mom would always scold him." Jeff added

"Do you guys play with forest animals?" I wondered.

"No. We just watch them, if we're lucky we'd find birds that are just about to hatch. But that's about the best thing we'd find." Jeff replied.

"We feed them sometimes." Liu interjected.

"I remember when I tried to make Jeff feed this squirrel with an acorn. He was scared that it might have rabies or something. But the squirrel still managed to steal it from him and he came home screaming in fear." He started to chuckle with his own story.

Jeff's weakness is a squirrel?

I giggled.

The big bad killer ain't so tough now. His image will forever be stained by petty fear of squirrels in my head.

"Awee Liu why'd you have to tell her that?" I heard Jeff whisper to his older brother.

"I'm not ruining my little bro's pride am I?" He teased and started ruffling Jeff's hair.

Teasing comes with the family huh?

("Liu! You can embarrass me anywhere but please not in front of Jane.") I heard muffled whispering. I couldn't make out the words.

"Okay, I'll stop. Wouldn't want to ruin my bro's chance at getting a girlfriend would I?" I heard Liu purposely say out loud.

I looked at them oddly. Is this what I looked like when I denied that I was in love to my friends?
