What We Could've Been

Have you ever wondered what it would it be like if Jane could somehow stop everything that happened and change things from the past? As in, what if she prevented Jeff's sanity from breaking? Would they become friends? Maybe even lovers?And thus, I have made this to provide my own answers.

It's going to take A LOT of chapters, think of it as a miniseries. So this will take a while.

Jane's POV

"For the last time Jane no!" Laughing Jill stated.

"Please Jill! It would only be a second I would just change one minor detail-"

"Nope. I'm not putting you at risk. I know you're curious, but the things you see might have consequences. It could change your outlook of everything... for all I know you might become an entirely different person!" She explained with worry

"I won't, I promise!" I held my hand up.

"......."

"You can't resist your best friend can you?" I pleaded with my black eyes, she twitched. Bingo.

"Fine. I'll give you a chance but remember! I warned you! The things you will see aren't even meant to be seen!" She crossed her arms and reminded with a serious tone. D*mn....no offense but I never thought she could be so serious. She was always the joker between us two

Anyways, this whole debate is all because I wanted to test out her power. Dream Simulation!

Being an imaginary being has its perks.

She could uphold any dream in your mind just the way you wanted. At least that's what I heard.

I was hoping this power could somehow help me feel the joy of having my parents again.....I miss them too much. And, I just might finally have my revenge on Jeffrey. Either of the two would do for me.

"By the way. Can you come with me to a double date after this? You know, as payback. " Jill had a hopeful smile.

"Double date? With who?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Well LJ said it was going to be a secret until we go there." She shrugged....wait a second....LJ????

"YOU GUYS ARE GOING OUT ON A DATE??!!" I practically screamed.

"It's a double date. Mind you. Also, shuush keep it down will ya? I know your room has sound proof walls but it doesn't mean it would spare my eardrums." She covered my mouth with her hand.

"Sorry, it's just that....well I thought you gave up on him?" Those countless failed attempts of trying to flirt with him and he just shuts them all out, it was hard to see my best friend's disappointment after every try.

"Well, that was my plan and it worked!" She winked

"Plan? Why didn't you tell me?" I wondered out loud.

"Never mind that for now. Let's go into your subconscious and see what your secret feelings and thoughts are!" She was probably just trying to avoid my question.

"Yeah!-wait what?" Secrets??? Well, I don't really have any.... right??

"Too late!" She smirked as I fell into slumber.
