(Jade's POV)

Currently we are watching over the two injured agents, whom I have been introduced to as "Masky" and "Hoodie." How appropriate names for the disguises they wore.

They had retold the events of how they were assaulted by my fellow Apathetic agents, Ben had requested even though we already read their report.

Once the briefing was over, I was stationed inside their room while Jeff was outside and lastly Ben was with security, where the surveillance room was.

"Do you really think those assassins would go so far as to harm the other patients?" Masky asks, concern evident on his face.

"It is a possibility." I say.

"Let's hope you guys don't end up laying in a hospital bed as well, yeah?" Hoodie adds, subtly holding the patched up slit on his throat. I nod, giving them reassurance.

"Hmm, I couldn't mention before but I know I don't recognize you." Masky points out while his companion agrees.

"Affirmative, I just got hired."

"And Slenderman already trusts you enough to protect us? When I started out I did nothing more than bring him his morning coffee."

"Same, not to mention we're his proxies. So how'd you get a headstart?" The two males ask with slight suspicion.

After explaining my whole situation to them they were speechless. I could tell they were surprised, looking at me as if I was insane.

"And he accepted you?" Hoodie baffles, knowing it was not in Slender's nature to do that.

"With certain conditions to be met of course."

"But how'd you survive through Jeff? He isn't exactly in good terms with assassins from other agencies, the Underworld no less."

"He spared me and I held back." They were surprised to hear my answer, I already knew what their question was. "Why?" And I certainly had no acceptable reason, nor any reason at all for that matter.

"Before you ask, no I have no reason for my actions."

"Maybe it's because he was at a disadvantage. He only uses his blades after all, he never uses his gun despite having it around." Masky mumbles which reminded me of the time we were fighting, confirming his comment that Jeff never even touched his gun.

"He doesn't use the gun yet he keeps it with him? Does he even know how to use one?" I question with curiosity, it was a peculiar information to know.

"Oh he knows, he used to brag about gaining all perfect bullseyes in shooting practice." Hoodie explains, rolling his eyes at the memory.

"Why'd he stop then?"

"Who knows, all I can really remember is that he stopped after his brother died." Hoodie was suddenly hit by a pillow to his face, courtesy of Masky.

"Did you forget that we should never speak of Liu, remember how devasted he gets?" Masky scolds, while I only looked on, remembering Jeff's somber expression as he describes his past with his brother.

"Ah right, sorry. It's probably best that you hear it from him anyways. I'm sure Jeff wouldn't appreciate us gossiping about him with the newbie." He apologizes.

"Anyways, I assume that you lived your whole life in your agency considering that your a rare case. So where have you lived since the failed assassination attempt?"

"Jeffrey's apartment." The two glanced at each other as if there was a discussion going through each other's mind which only they had accessed to.
