Important A/N at the end.

I was sick and tired of the tension.
We fought three hellhounds and a hydra with ease, but everyone was kind of... separate.

As we tried to find another form of transportation to Australia, the girls and the guys hung in two separate groups. Percy and Annabeth hardly talked in the groups, very much less to each other. Maybe we have to get Piper on the case.

"Okay, I'm sick of this, Annabeth!" Piper said in annoyance, as if reading my mind. "What on earth did you say to him that made you both upset?!"

"Oh, so you think I'm the cause of this?!" Annabeth fought back. "He used the poison when I asked him not to!"

"Yes, but he apologised!"

"I did too!"

"Well obviously it was something that you need to do more than apologise for!"

"Well maybe he needs to do something more than apologise, too. And don't tell me what to do, Piper."

"What is wrong with you? You're pushing everyone away, even your own boyfriend, for goodness sake, who fell to freaking hell for you!" Piper yelled so loud that the whole group stopped walking and Annabeth stood, stunned. "Excuse my French." Piper added. Percy looked extremely uncomfortable in this situation.

The group slowly started walking again after a few moments of silence and Annabeth's eyes filled with tears. A few fell, but when I tried comforting her she just pushed me away. I would not let her suffer alone though.

"Just give her some space, Annabeth. Maybe she's just jealous because she thinks Jason wouldn't do the same for her as Percy did for you." I told her, though I had no idea of the reason Piper blew up.

"I... okay. I just- I need Percy to forgive me. It makes me so... irritable when we argue." She confessed, letting a few more tears fall.

"I'm sure he feels the same. Maybe you guys need to do something special together. Why don't you go apologise to him again and compromise a solution together?"

"Maybe you're right, Hazel. Thank you, you're like a little sister to me, although you can act like a big sister sometimes." She hugged me and walked to Percy's side. At first he ignored her, but I saw when she looked at him with a look that just seemed to melt his heart and he gently grabbed her hand as they walked and talked.

I like to think that I am a good big sister to Nico.

It was getting dark when we heard a weird clacking sound across the road we were walking on.

Percy seemed to recognise the sound and make us all stop, confronting the two sister Gorgons on our trail.

"Didn't you two get the hint that I'm sick of fighting you?" Percy said in annoyance. "It's kinda creepy, you know. Following me around."

I remember Percy telling me something about being followed by two weird chicken-legged snake ladies back when he first arrived at Camp Jupiter. What were their names again? I can't remember, it was a while ago. One of the girls had red snakes in her hair and the other had green.

"Gorgons." Piper muttered. I had only heard about gorgons at Camp Half-Blood after the giant war. Us Romans learned the Greek versions of our monsters. It was pretty interesting.
Most of us were exhausted for fighting the other monsters, so we didn't plan our attacks very well. In fact, when I threw a big gold nugget at the red gorgons head, she swatted it back and it hit me in the jaw. It was only a minor injury but gold nuggets are heavy. The gorgon did shake her hand in pain, though.

"Why don't you try some of these Crispy Cheese 'n' Wieners, honey." The green gorgon said to me, her bargain mart shirt in tatters at the bottom. Her name was Stheno, according to the Welcome! My name is Stheno badge on her uniform. She held a platter that was a bit dented but had perfectly assorted nauseating food samples. When I didn't take one, she gave me a weary smile, her old skin lifting on her cheeks, revealing more of the bore tusks protruding from her mouth.

"Stheno!" The coral-snaked gorgon chided her. "We fight! We don't offer them food!"

"But Euryale!" Stheno whined to her sister. "Have you forgotten that half of them are poison?!"

Her sister was quick to cover Stheno's mouth, but the secret was already out. Note to self: do not try the Crispy Cheese 'n' Wieners... whatever they are.

In a flash, Leo blowtorched Euryale's face until she collapsed in dust.

"You killed my sister!" Stheno wailed. "You're going to regret that..." she advanced on Leo while the others and I tried attacking her. She used her platter as a shield and the only damage she took was frank slicing some of her snakes off with the sharp talons of an eagle and being shocked by Jason's lighting bolts.

"Hey, Stheno!" Annabeth called. "You must be a lot smarter than your sister. I mean, look at her! She's already dead. I think that you need some more credit!" The gorgon stopped in her tracks and looked stunned, as if she'd never received a compliment before. Annabeth was obviously being sarcastic, as it was obvious that Stheno was not the brighter sister.

"Wh-why, thank you!" She smiled, but then frowned again, as if remembering something. "You... you helped that sea scum kill my sister Medusa!" She pointed to Percy as she said sea scum.

"Hey!" Percy retorted.

"That was over five years ago!" Annabeth said. "She was trying to kill us. You need to stop following us around!"

"Five years or not, you still killed he- oh!" She gasped and looked at the sword jutting through her stomach, my hand on the hilt. She muttered a curse as she disintegrated and was swept away by the wind. Only then did the seven realise that it was getting quite dark. Leo let out a sigh of relief and stood up.

"We need to find somewhere to stay." Jason suggested.

"We're all exhausted." Piper said with a huff.

"You're right." Percy said, "And they're quick to reform, so we better get moving."

Piper and I were settling in the little Inn we found on the main streets of Liberia. We shared three rooms among the seven of us - Percy and Annabeth in their own room (they insisted that they have their own room in case they have nightmares), Frank, Leo and Jason in the only room that had enough beds, and Piper and I sharing a double bed. I was okay with that, Piper was like a sister to me.

Piper was still laughing from when she teased Frank, saying that he'd have to go and wake Percy and Annabeth up in the morning - he did not find it funny, considering the last time he caught them sleeping down in the stables of the Argo II when he thought they'd done something bad.

Sleeping wasn't easy that night - there was always the sneaking suspicion that a monster would find us. After all, we are in the forbidden lands. I slept with my sword beside my bed, just in case.

I had a dream that night, that The Seven were falling town a large crack in the earth, as a monstrous army cheered above.

Question: smut.
How much smut are my reader willing to read? Next chap will be up as soon as I know.

How detailed? How far am I going with this? 😂

I have written the majority of the next chap, but it may not appeal to some viewers. And if my viewers are young, then I may have to refrain from writing smut. I don't want to be reported for not having my story set in mature and, I have to say, the style of this book isn't exactly mature.

These results will be used in the next chapter, which is from Percy's point of view.

Thank you to everyone who reads my book, you are the BEST! ❤️
