Annabeth

Today was Tuesday.
Percy was coming back to CHB.
What was she going to tell him?
The war council had all voted that she should be the one to break the news to him.
He was coming back at midday and it was already 11:00.
Sure, she couldn't wait to see him, but she knew he'd be angry. Three great prophecies in a row and all include him.

She was sitting under Thalia's Pine Tree when she saw a boy with jet black hair and sea green eyes run up the hill.
"Hey, Annabeth!" Percy called.
"Hey, Perce... How was your mom?" She asked.
"She was really happy to see me, though she wished that you came..." He replied.
"Maybe next time... Percy, there is something I need to tell you..." She said.
His smile immediately melted into a worried expression.
"What... Wise Girl, what is it?" He asked, putting his arms around her.
"Well... Okay. Percy, there has been another Great Prophecy..."
Now his worried expression changed into anger. There was a dangerous fire behind his eyes.
He didn't say anything.
"Perce, are you-" he cut her off.
"I need some time to think, Annabeth. Three Great Prophecies? Apollo is now my least favourite God." He said, eerily calm.
Thunder rumbled and the sun shone a bit brighter (if possible) through the gaps in the trees.
"Careful. You never know who might be listening. And it's not Apollos fault that Rachel spat out the next Great Prophecy. Apollo doesn't make it happen, it just needs to happen, it's destiny." She explained.
"Well, I already know my destiny." He said.
It was true. Once, Ares, the God of war, told Percy that his fatal flaw was loyalty and Percy and I both know that you can't change destiny.
"But, remember. Look at me." I said.
Annabeth sent him a silent message through her mind. He received it.
"You can't change destiny," he said "it will just destroy your world more. But you can write your own."
She smiled and he wrapped his arms around her.
"This is why I love you, Annabeth." He said.
"I love you too." And she meant it.

That night at the campfire, all the campers seemed a little uneasy. Something was also bugging Annabeth. The orange-red glow of the fire casting shadows cross the floor, the flames dancing, reaching higher and higher into the air.
Before she knew what was happening, Annabeth found herself shaking uncontrollably.
"Annabeth...?" Percy said "Are you ok?"
She tried to respond but it came out as a breathy, quiet scream.
Black spots danced in front of her eyes and she tumbled into darkness.
The last thing she heard was Percy scream "Someone help! She is having a flashback!"

It was like she was in her dream again. Percy calling her name, being blind, not knowing where she is going. Then all of a sudden she could see again, but it wasn't a very welcoming sight. She was greeted by a black swirling vortex that seemed to suck the soul out of her. Then she noticed him.
In one giant hand, Percy was struggling to get free - squirming and thrashing like a two year old, but that's what she'd probably be doing in his situation.
She tried to scream, but nothing came out. Her voice box had failed her.
Once again, the last thing she saw before her eyes flew open was Percy exploding into a shower of gold dust.
