PINK, THIS TIME. 

Frigging pink. 

Kung pwede lang mag-apoy ang dulo ng magulong buhok ni Seungcheol sa sandaling 'yon, kanina pa ito nagliliyab sa tindi ng pagkakatitig niya rito sa salamin. Seungcheol ruffles his messy fringe in his extreme annoyance, tugging onto the roots. 

"Bakit pink?!" nakangiwing wika niya habang pinagmamasdan ang sarili sa salamin. Kitang-kita niya ang inis na nadarama sa Seungcheol sa salamin. His eyes puffier than the usual with an unattractive scowl on his face. 

Paano ba naman kasi kay aga-aga, eto ang bubungad sa kanya. His once glorious, jet black hair now bleached to the roots and colored pink. Pink! Of all color, it has to be pink! God knows how much it took for Seungcheol to stop himself from burning his own hair or shaving his entire head off. 

Seungcheol is definitely not overreacting. Nope. 

Okay, two things. First, 'yong itim! In his entire life, Seungcheol was convinced his color was black. He looks deviously handsome in anything black, as if he's born to wear it. Black shirt, black pants, black caps, black hair. Oh how divine he looks in anything black. Lalong-lalo na ang buhok niya? Ah. Damn, he swears even he can hear those heavenly chimes whenever he walks out with his hair styled up. Mas na-eenhance kasi ng kulay na 'to ang kanyang mga features at nag-co-compliment lalong-lalo na sa kabuuan ng pagkatao niya. Mingyu, a friend of his, has tried convincing him into trying out hair dyes a couple of times but he adamantly refused. 

"Black ang kulay ko okay?" minsang sagot niya sa kaibigan. "Kontento na ako sa kulay kung saan ako pinakagwapo."

Mingyu had tried convincing him to try out new colors. Baka sakaling may ibang kulay pa na mas babagay pa sa kanya pero nanatiling tumatanggi si Seungcheol. 

Black is his soulmate, okay? Mingyu has to learn to accept that.

Second! Soulmate. Seungcheol was starting to hate that word because really, it turned out, unfortunately, black isn't really his soulmate. 

It's someone out there who freaking loves to dye his hair bright, lethargic colors. 

You see, in this slightly fucked up but fascinating soulmate system in Seungcheol's bright and colorful world, instead of appearing marks on your skin as the stories tell, you and your soulmate gets to share a specific body part that'll serve as your connection to each other. Each soulmate pairing either has it easy or especially hard. 

May ibang mag-soulmate na nag-sh-share ng dila kung saan natitikman ng isa ang kahit anong natitikman ng soulmate niya. Some soulmates share arms, that'll feel the exact same pain or texture and will bear the same marks if written on. 

Some gets the hard parts like the eyes. Both people gets blurry visions at random times of what their partner sees on that exact same time, making it slightly dangerous in motion so they're forced to stay together at all times, to see the same things and to avoid accidents. 

Dahil sa kakulangan ng parte ng katawan ng isang tao sa dami ng tao sa mundo, hindi maiiwasang magkaroon ng pagkakapareha ng palatandaan sa mga parte ang mga pares sa mundo. But there is also another feat to identify your soulmate. You're going to have "the pull" the moment you're nearby each other. Ibig sabihin, may kung anong hihila sa inyong dalawa sa pagkakataong magkalapit kayo kahit na hindi niyo kilala ang isa't-isa. That's also the thrilling part of every soulmate system in the legends, the pulling moment in which you get pulled to the person you'll stay with throughout your lifetime.
