Sams heart was beating a million miles a minute. His hand gripped a long metal bar he found in the shed. He kept his steps low and quiet. He walked as if he was gliding across the floor not making a single floorboard creak in the old house. Alyssa had shown him an entrance through the back, a shattered window. Rarely ever did Matt go to the storage room in his house.
"He's probably downstairs" Alyssa whispered as she entered through the window. "She's in the..." Alyssa's face went red with shame.
Sam turned to her concerned. "Where is she?" His eyebrow was raised and Alyssa felt as if she couldn't speak.
"He... he calls it the play room..."
Sam bit the inside of his lip and crossed his arms. "And what exactly is th-"
Stomp stomp stomp
Sam and Alyssa heard Footsteps from below them. He was coming upstairs. Alyssa's face turned white, her fear of him had not yet dissipated. She thought she was ok, but she was scared... no ... Incredibly horrified.
Sam motioned a finger to his lips signaling to keep as quiet as possible. Sam could hear Alyssa breathing heavily. He knew she was frightened, but they all needed to get out safely.
Sam wrapped his arms around Alyssa's waist holding her entire body against him with her back to his chest as he scoot back behind the door. Alyssa was still panting. Sam didn't know how to keep her quiet, to calm her.
He began to whisper. "Alyssa, I need to you to calm down please. We all need to get out of here. I'm sorry for saying this was your fault. I was just upset" Sam rested his head on Alyssa's shoulder and buried his face into her neck giving her light pecks and rubbing up her body. "Please... let's just get through this." Alyssa had calmed down. Completely, Sams words... no his actions and his words had soothed her.
A bad thought crossed Alyssa's mind. She shook it away quickly, but knew that it might presume and present itself later.
So this is why Nina loves him...his words and his warm touch... could make any girl fall in love...
Any girl...The door to the "Play Room" swung open and both Sam and Alyssa tensed up. Sams grip on Alyssa got tighter as he pulled her closer into him. Protecting her.
Matt whistled a playful tune as he headed to the storage room. The same storage room that Alyssa and Sam had been hiding in.
Matts boots shook the floorboards as walked, he walked with his chest puffed out head high and fists clenched. A smile was slapped across his face. He knew the only reason he was up here, he knew what he was getting.
The storage room wasn't too far from the play room door. He gripped the and opened the door looking around.
Sam gripped Alyssa's waist, and covered her mouth shut. "Shhh.." he barely whispered.
Sam payed close attention to what Matt had been grabbing off the shelves.
Water bottles, crackers, some jam, and... lubricant.
Sams face burned in pure rage. He wanted everything to just let Alyssa go and beat the ever loving shit out of Matt, but now was not the time. He would risk everything. What if there was a password downstairs, what if Nina wasn't there. He had to wait to make sure. Matt walked out not even flinching as his gaze flashed past Alyssa and Sam. Matt moved back to see, but no one was behind the door.
