I was flying. Soaring through the dark sky above the trees and just below the clouds. I continued to soar until I saw a big clearing in the trees where a village had their houses light up with torches and everyone was asleep.
I pointed my nose down and landed softly in the middle of the village and walked to the tallest house with the chosen one inside.
As I walked closer the window was closed but had a crack in it so I used my nose to open it and inside lay children all across the floor asleep.
I scanned the room and after I scanned the whole room I looked at the child in front of me and it was a little girl who looked to not having a pleasant dream.
My vision turned purple and the outline of the girl turned purple. She awoke and she stared into my eyes. I scooped her up and swallowed her to preserve her until we got back to The Nest.
There was a sharp scream and in the doorway stood an elderly woman with a terrified expression on her face. The other children started to wake up and when they saw me in the window they screamed and ran over to the woman.
Their screams brought men with spears and torches on the inside and out. As they pointed their spears at me my instincts kicked in and I tried to defend myself but I was stuck in the window.
I felt a sharp pain in my left flank and I knew it was a spear. The men inside got closer to me I roared as well as trying to get free. I knocked some men over as I got free from the window. They surrounded me shouting and shoving their spears at me.
One threw their spear but missed, I roared at him but as I did so another one threw one into my right shoulder.
I winced and I had have enough I shook myself off moving the armor on my back and head then sprinted to the treeline and took off once again into the air.
As I was flying a thunderstorm was brewing in the clouds. I neared The Nest there was a flash of lightning and a loud thunder clap and the bolt struck me in the back.
My vision went blurry and I started going down. The ruins and pillars got closer and closer. Then one got so close I impaled into at least three of them and I hit the cold hard ground.
Next thing I knew I was on a huge stretcher with a large grey tarp over me and I was being carried by eight or ten soldiers. I was too weak to move so I stayed still and closed my eyes.
When I reopened them I was being lowered on a platform and the tarp was gone but I still had on my beat up armor. To my left was one single soldier hanging on a rope as we decended.
They dropped me into a cave with a circular structure in the center and few sun beams shone through the rocks. The one soldier brought over a steel collar connected to a chain which was buried and sturdy in the ground.
They left me there as my stomach churned and my breath turned sharp and heavy. Next thing I knew my chosen one from inside me came up and was wrapped in lime green stomach acid and slid out of my mouth and in front of me.
The acid bubble popped and the chosen one started to breathe again then darkness consumed my vision and I blacked out.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••I opened my eyes and I lay in front of Trico who was asleep. I got up and I tried to wake him up but he wouldn't move.
I decided to look around and I saw a gate across a bridge with red metal bars that are used to drain water and there seemed to be a tunnel underneath. I saw Trico's tail hanging off the edge over a railing. So I went back toward his tail and descended down to where there were pieces of rubble and a shallow pool of water.
I turned on Trico's tail and jumped off, landing into the pool. I stood up, wringed out my clothes the best I could, then turned a corner and crouched down to crawl through the tunnel under Trico and the gate.
I slowed down as from the corner of my eye I saw a glow of blue. There were two soldiers on both sides of me so I slowly passed them and turned left in a intersection which led to an outside ladder. I climbed the ladder where a lever was waiting so I pulled it and the gate to my right rose up and I jumped back down onto the bridge.
I looked back at Trico from across the bridge and he was still out so I decided to try and sneak past the soldiers and see what's past them.
I tiptoed just a few steps in front of the first two and they must have heard or sensed me because as soon as the first two woke up so did the other two and they started chasing me.
"Trico!" I shouted as I ran back over to Trico with the armor suits just behind me.
I tried to hide behind Trico's head but they kept coming. When they were halfway across the bridge Trico started to twitch and soon he lifted his head up, rolled over onto his feet, spotted the armor, roared, and sped after them and knocking one off in the process.
Trico picked one up in his mouth and threw it to his right making it smack into the wall and shoot pieces of armor everywhere. One piece came right at my head but I ducked just in time.
By the time I recovered and realized I survived thanks to my quick reflexes Trico was coming over to me and sat in front of me.
"Next time we fight I need to make sure you know what friendly fire is." I stated with one hand on my hip and the other hand pointing at Trico and shaking it towards me then back to him.He just tilted his head then started jumping up and down and making joyful growling noises like an idiot. I couldn't resist so I just laughed and scratched his little nose and led the charge across the bridge and into the next area which was outside the ruins.
