Through the doorway led to a small round colosseum type area. There was a three by three pattern of light shining in the middle of the arena. The light came from a large grate above us and in the far left side there were five large openings. Inside each one, from where I was and what I could see there were some kind of metal objects.
"What are these for?" I asked myself and also Trico. Trico just grumbled in response and leaned closer to the edge then shook his head in disapproval.
I gave him a questioning look and leaned closer and in that moment six metal soldiers activated from their neutral state and rushed over to us unable to reach. They lifted their arms and glowing, blue, symbols of some kind shot out of their hands and impacting me. As a result my tattoos began to glow.
Trico's eyes lit up in anger and he lunged down into the arena and left me standing in the watching area helpless. Trico swiped a soldier and it's head became detached and flew right at me. But thanks to my quick reflexes I ducked just in time to avoid getting smacked in the face with metal.
The last soldier fell and Trico calmed down by himself and strolled over to me.
"You, you need to watch your friendly fire sir," I said poking his nose playfully. Trico snorted and ran around the area playfully like a dork. But a cute one.
I hopped down, landing beside a graveyard of the scattered bits and pieces of the armor for the battle. I waltzed over to the middle of the pattern of sunlight beaming through the metal bars above.
Trico, being his nosy self, went to check out the metal things. He let out a soft roar to get my attention so I turned and walked his way.
As I made my way there I gazed into the doorways where the metal things lay broken and useless.I reached where Trico was and where his was standing was a gate made of metal bars and a metal object in some what good condition. Next to Trico's left leg was a handle attached with a winch that had a steel chain snaked around it.
Pointing to the handle I told Trico to grab it and pull. Trico did that obediently and I rushed through the door and grabbed the object that I called a wagon and pushed it back through the door. I raised my left hand and Trico dropped the handle then the door slammed back down.
Moving the wagon to the center of the arena in a golden square I stood there thinking and trying to get an idea of how to get us both out of here.
I glanced over at Trico and he was sniffing at the side where a small square with holes in it were up towards the sky. I walked forward towards it to see what he was seeing and being the clumsy person I am I tripped on a small bar and landed on the wagon.
Trico had a look on his face that I knew spelt trouble.
"Don't. You. Dare."
Trico did the opposite, before I knew it his right foot slammed on the platform and shot me up into the air, heading right for the bars above us.
"Trico you son of a sishcab!!" I screamed as I just nicked a side of a square and was on the other side of the arena.
"Crap." I landed on a lever and pulling it down in the process that, from what I could hear, opened a gateway that let Trico out of the arena and in seconds he was standing in front of me. He had a some what apologetic look along with an amused look to go along.
"What no 'im sorry?'" I said standing up and stretching my back and cracking it at the same time.
Trico still stood there, still looking at me, same look. I threw my hands up in the air and stared at him. He started to bounce and a weird rumble that then turned into a mixed roar and a kind of voice escaped his mouth. He was laughing. Who does that when someone's mad??! Well, me. But that's beside the point!!
Don't you be going onto Trico's side. So you know what that is? Rude.
"What are you laughing at??!" I said my hands still in the air. Trico had calmed down a little and he was panting and wagging his tail.
"Your an idiot but your lucky your a cute one," I told him hugging his neck.
"Now, how bout getting out of this place?"
