I wake up to the sound of the alarm that I had set next to Nash's bed goes off. I struggled a bit to get out of Nash's grip, but eventually do. I quickly turn off the alarm. I walk around the room in the dark and make my way to the dresser where I sat my work clothes the other day.  I feel around the dresser to get everything I need before carefully making my way to the bag that had most of my stuff in it. I grab the brush the go to the bathroom.

I brush through my thick hair. I usually don't wake up until 6:30 but I woke up at 6:00. I don't know how long it will take to get to my job from here. Plus I'm going to buy some food this morning at the bakery next to the shop.

Yes I'm going to work. I can't depend on Cameron my whole life.

I notice I left my jacket in the room. Damn. I leave the bathroom light on so I have the small glow to shine into the room. I grab my jacket and shut the door behind me.

I return to the bathroom and put my hair a bun. I button up my black button up shirt leavening the last undone.

I feel in my pockets, I still have money from the last time I was at work. I'll use that to get my breakfast.

“Hello (y/n), I see you've finally come to see me again." Henry smiles.

His charming smile makes my heart flutter.

“I have." I smile.

“What can I get you, dear?" His curly dark hair dangles over his green eyes.

“A bagel with cream cheese please." I smile once more.

Ever since I have moved here. Henry has been on of my only friends. Well only one that is actually my age. I kind of think he likes me. It doesn't bother me. I like him too.

“Right away.… So I was thinking before it is completely winter. “We should go on a walk. I know you like to walk." He smiles. A dimple appears on one cheek.

“I would love to!" I chirp. I just now remember the changes I've had the last few days. "…but I don't know if I can." I sigh.

He frowns. “Well maybe another day, yeah?"  He hands me the perfect bagel.

“Yeah." I smile before leaving the bakery.

I look at the clock. It's 4. The ice cream shop is empty. I sway my hips to the song that plays on the radio. Just as I find myself enjoying myself, my boss comes in. He looks a bit angry.

“(Y/n)! Where were you?! You've been gone for two days!" He scolds. I have to admit. I was trying not to laugh at him. His short height made him a little less intimidating. “I called you over and over and you never answered my calls!"

“Well, I, um, I was sick." I lie.

“You should have called in! Tristan had to take your night shift Saturday including his own. And I had to take your day all yesterday! Why are you even here?! It's my day, shouldn't you be in school?"

I just remember I had missed a full day because I was drugged. I thought it was Sunday.

“Well, um, sorry." I mumble. “I was here to make up for my absence." I lie once more.

He shakes his head. “Don't do it again. You can take the rest of my shift. I get off at 6."

He marches out confidently.

“I get off at six." I mock when he's out of the shop.

I decide I'm cold and want to sit in my jacket. Just I turn to walk to the back, the customer bell rings obnoxiously over and over. I roll my eyes before turning around. Henry of course was standing there ringing the bell over and over with a cheeky smile on his face.
