“Me? Why would you envy me? I'm a sixteen year old virgin, with nothing." If anything, I should envy her. She's pretty, has a family who cares about her, has a sister who does everything with her, and can basically get what ever she wants.

“Really? You are so smart, I have never seen someone outsmart any if my brothers, and you do it all the time without even noticing. When you want something, you are so determined to get it-"

“You too!"

“Yeah, but the difference is, you actually get it."

“We aren't  that different Tasia. When you learn that, you'll learn to like me more, but more importantly, you'll be happy with yourself."

I stand to my feet and exist the dusty room.

“God I was worried!" Brent says as I meet him at the top of the steps. He was coming up, I was going down.

“Why?"

“Nash came down stairs a couple of minutes ago and asked where you were. Tasia was gone too, I thought she was killing you or something."

"Tasia and I aren't like that anymore."

"Oh. Well can you drive?"  Brent ask swaying back and forth.

I move the hair in front of my face to the side. "Yes. But I don't have a car."

"Ooh, we can take Brenna's!"

"No I don't want-"

"Brenna were taking your car!"

"Okay. Don't be gone to long, and keep your cell phone on!"

I roll my eyes at my best friend as he smiles and leads me down the steps.

“Where are you going?" Carter ask as we reach the door.

“To eat." Brent answers.

“No, Babe can't." Carter says. “Cameron said."

“Oh ,c'mon man, he doesn't have to know."

“No, I'm serious Brent. I don't want Beth to get a hold of her either."

Brent sighs. "Okay then." He looks at me. "Lets go to my room, like we always do."

"So we're moving with someone?" I ask popping a cold grape between my lips.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" He nods, taking his hat off and placing it on his night stand.

"Nash told me."

"Yeah, they used to be a part of a gang themselves. They had like, a lot of people, so the house they live in has a lot of rooms. The gang split up a couple of years ago, we're actually friends with some of the some members. Not all of them, but some."

"Oh, so both of them are Jack?"

"Yeah."

"Why did they both stay in the house?"

"Don't know. Guess they just didn't have any interest in leaving." He shrugs.

"So one of them was talking to Nash, like, um, I don't know, like he was looking out for him kind of way."

"Oh, yeah, did he talk like, 'for sure man!'" He mocks.

"No." I giggle, "But his voice sounded like that."

"Yeah, thats Jack G." He smiles. "Hes a good guy, especially to Nash. He looks out for him."

 "Why?"
