Chapter 26

Shawn, Jack, Nash, Cam and I were sitting in front of the computer a day after both Shawn and I posted the video on our channels. Immediately a lot of response started coming on both our fronts and we decided not to look at it until we were all together to review it. 

Cam was now the one keeping us from reading the comments. "Are you ready, Charlotte? I mean, there are some really horrib-"

"Cam,-" I cut him off. "-what you were about to say, wasn't going to help at all. Now, sit down, shut up and allow us to read our comments. Understood?" 

He quickly sat down. "Yes, ma'am." 

I gave him an innocent smile. "Good boy." 

Shawn looked at me. "Are you ready to read this because I co-"

I didn't let him finish, instead I just opened the comment section and started reading. I was immediately blown away by the response I had gotten. 

The inevitable happened and there were some haters on it but the comment section was dominated by fans who loved it and defended either me or Shawn against the haters. It moved me how people just started defending us and started putting the haters in their place.

Many others followed and I couldn't keep the smile of my face. Their comments touched me so much and the love they sent me, I didn't know I was capable of doing something like that, creating a commotion like that. 

I looked up to see four males looking at me with big eyes. I just raised a brow and Nash cracked. 

"Dude, you're huge! Everybody loves you!" 

"I'd hardly say everybody." I muttered. 

Jack put a hand on my shoulder. "So you got a couple of haters? So what, don't you think we have that? There will always be people that won't like or appreciate what you're doing but you have to ignore that and go on because there are so many other people that do like and appreciate what you do." 

"Yes, I know that my key to succes was ignorance so you have to do it too. Just keep a blind eye to all the hate and focus on all the love you get." Shawn said, putting an arm around my shoulders. "I told you that you sing like an angel." 

"You really have talent, Char. Why don't you do something with it?" Cam asked. 

I quickly shook my head. "Oh no. I don't want to become a singer, I want to become a published author and if I ever were to get into the showbizz, it'd be because I'm an actress or a dancer but not a singer. I may be good enough to post videos on youtube and such but I hardly think I have enough talent to sing in an arena." 

"You don't see yourself clearly, Charlotte. You're capable of a lot more than you think. I bet that if you were to upload a video saying that you would do a small concert somewhere around here for like a hundred people and would put tickets online for like 40 bucks or something, there would be so many people to jump on it." Jack said. 

"We could always try that." Nash said when he saw my disbelieving look. 

"Okay, but I don't want any help from you guys. I will put a video up on my channel and my channel alone. Understood?" I asked sternly. 

"Yes." They all answered. 

I took out my iPhone and turned to the camera, facing away from the guys but making sure they weren't caught on camera. 

"Guys, I was just reading your comments on YouTube on my video with Shawn and your reactions were unbelievable. Guys, thank you so much for all the love you gave us but here's the thing. The guys and I have a disagreement so we need you to help us settle it." I started the video. 

It was my intention to do this video alone but all of the sudden, two heads appeared on either side of mine. 

"Charlotte here thinks that she isn't good enough to sing in concert and we want to prove her wrong." 

"So, would you go check Charlotte out if she'd play a small concert, here in Toronto for like a hundred or a hundredfifty people and we'd sell tickets for maybe 40 dollars?" 

The phone was taken out of my hands. Both Shawn and Jack were on camera as they said in unison 'Let us know in the comments.'

I didn't get my phone back from Jack until it picged after he had done multiple things on it. I saw he had already uploaded the video. 

"Jack!" I exclaimed. 

"What?" He asked innocently. "I know that if I didn't upload it myself, you'd delete it and post no video at all because you would claim that you'd do the video by yourself. You may think otherwise but I know you." 

"He's right, you would've done that." Shawn agreed. 

I glared at both of them. "I hate you. All of you." 

"No you don't." They all laughed. 

I sighed, knowing they were right. I knew I was defeated so I just jumped down on the couch next to Shawn. 

The three guys were all discussing something and I was playing with Shawn's hair. "Mom asked if you'd come over for dinner?" 

"Me alone or all the guys?" 

"All the guys, I just wasn't sure whether to ask them or not. They might feel weird." 

He frowned. "Why would they feel weird?" 

"I don't know. I'm just saying stuff, they might feel weird. I'm not saying they would but you know my family- you know my brother." 

"Yes I do and that's exactly why you ha- Hey, guys, Charlotte's mom invited us over for dinner. Would you guys like to come?" 

"Sure." 

"Why not?" 

"I'd love to." 

They all said that at once. I was confused but typed a text to mom saying they'd all be there but asked her to warn Ollie and tell him to pull back a bit. 

"Hey, guys. Don't you think it's time for you to actually confirm your relationship? I mean, everyone knows anyway so why keep it silent?" Cameron asked. 

I looked up. "We actually didn't say it because of me. We wanted to keep his fans away from me because of the hate that I might face." 

"But now you're already known to everyone, including Shawn's fans." Jack said. "So you might as well put it out there in the world."

"Yeah but there's no pressure at all, you guys. If you want to keep it silent for a bit longer than that's fine too." Nash said, glaring at both his friends. 

Shawn looked at me. "What do you think?" 

"I don't mind people knowing." I said, already pulling out my phone and pulling up a picture of me and Shawn. He had pulled me of the ground without me knowing and I was laughing as he held me up, bridal style. 

I put it on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the caption, 'My Love. My heart. My world. Totally in love.' 

"Done." I said, smiling at my screen. 

Our relationship was now on a whole new level but I didn't mind one bit.
