This fanfiction is based on the concept of soulmates. I didn't think of this idea myself, but I did think of a twist.

Some people are lucky. They have a soulmate. Most people never get a soulmate, only 5% of the world population does.
If you are lucky enough, you get a soulmate when you're both 15 or older.
You can communicate with your soulmate through your head. You hear their voice, and they hear you.
Your soulmate also feels what you feel. If you are hurt, your soulmate feels the pain. If you are in love, your soulmate feels the butterflies.
But, there's one inconvenience.
You aren't allowed to know much about your soulmate. You can't know their name, you can't know what they look like, you can't know where they live.
And, you can only meet them when you're both 18.

It's my birthday. I'm 15 now.

I'm lying on my bed, sad and exhausted from the previous day.
As always.
I've been lying here for about 3 hours, just crying. Life just seems to not get any better. The bullies never stop.

Suddenly, I hear a voice.
