A/N
hi! you guys have been so nice to me about this story, i feel so bad for not updating. i've decided i want to start a yoonmin fanfic so i can hopefully get back into writing, leave me ideas for an au! and once again, i might make mistakes because english isn't my first language.

Phil has been feeling horrible recently. He doesn't know what it is, but he constantly feels down. He keeps waking up with his whole body hurting, and he doesn't have any explanation for it. At first he thought it was the mattress, but when he tried sleeping on a different bed, the pain didn't go away.
Besides his body hurting, he's also been feeling sad for no reason. There's nothing to be sad about, yet Phil finds himself wanting to cry at least ten times a day. Everyone he's close to has noticed it, as Phil is normally a ray of sunshine. When they ask him about it, he just replies that he doesn't know what it is either.

He doesn't do anything about it until one day, Cat suddenly comes over to join him on the couch, as she hands him a freshly made cup of tea. "Thank you." Phil says while reaching for the steaming cup.

"You've been feeling down recently. Did something happen?" She says.

Phil is surprised. Cat is never this soft.
He takes a sip before replying. "Yeah.. I don't know what it is. There's no reason to be sad, but I just feel worse by the day."

Cat takes some time to think, chewing on her bottom lip. After a few minutes, she suggest: "Maybe you should go to see a doctor? They'll know what's wrong."

And that is how Phil ended up in the waiting room of a doctor's office.

Phil
I chew on my nails anxiously as I wait for my name to get called out. Usually, I don't get anxious for appointments or anything, so I don't know why I am now.

A voice comes from the door. "Phil Lester?" I nod and stand up as I wipe off my sweaty hands on my jeans. I then shake the doctor's hand, following him into the small room.

"So, Mr. Lester," The doctor says when we've taken a seat. "Tell me what's the matter."

...

After having explained everything, the doctor seems to be deep in thought. He types something on his computer, and after a few minutes he starts talking.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure of what's wrong with you, but I might have a few ideas. It could be from stress, have you been under a lot of pressure recently?"

I shake my head. "Not at all. I've actually felt more relaxed, because everything is going relatively well at university."

"Okay. Is there something you may have eaten recently that your body could've reacted to?"

I don't think I'm allergic to anything at all, but I still list some food that I ate just to make sure.

"Okay, I don't think that's the problem either." The doctor types on his computer again, staring at the screen.

I'm feeling awkward. Normally, situations like this are fine, but today I can't feel comfortable for some reason.

Suddenly, the doctor speaks up. "Do you happen to have a soulmate?"

I blink in confusion a few times, before answering. "Uh, yeah, I do. I haven't talked to them for a while, though.." I sigh as I think about Moon and how he's feeling. What if he's been feeling bad and I haven't been there for him?

"This might sound weird, but my theory for now is that it's because of your soulmate. You feel what they feel, remember? I think they might be sad or not sleeping well, because the symptoms seem to not have anything to do with you and how you live."

I slowly nod my head. I've never thought about Moon being the reason I'm feeling bad. Deep inside, I hope he isn't the reason, because that would mean he's hurting. I don't want Moon to feel hurt.

"Maybe you should talk to your soulmate, check up on them. If it turns out they're not the reason you're hurting, feel free to come back and we'll help you further."
