I'm walking through school, on my way to class. I've been talking to Dan for a week now. We always sit together at lunch and when we have a class together. He doesn't say a lot, but he's still a really nice and funny guy, though no one notices it. I don't get why anyone could dislike him. He's so vulnerable and small, even though he's taller than me.

When I'm nearly at the classroom, I suddenly get pushed towards some lockers. I can just prevent my head from banging against the hard surface.
I feel a hand against my shoulder and someone turns me around. He puts his arm against my neck so it's impossible for me to move.

I look up, shocked. I make eye contact with the person who did all of this.

It's a guy. He seems older than me. His brown hair is styled with too much gel. He's wearing too much aftershave as well, the smell makes me sick. His eyes look angry.

"Hi?" I say, confused. I've never seen this guy before, why is he suddenly holding me against some lockers?

"Why do you hang out with gay lord?" he spits in my face.

"What?" stay calm, Pj.

"You know who I mean. Quite tall, ugly brown curls, always wears horrible oversized sweaters for some reason. Doesn't suit him at all. Anyways, just an ugly human being in general. Gay as well."

"D-Dan?" I stutter. Why does this guy hate Dan so much?

"Probably, I don't know his name actually. Can't be bothered. But yeah, why do you sit with him and stuff?"

"Why not? What's wrong with that?" I ask carefully. I don't want to make this guy even more angry.

"Why not? Excuse me? Have you seen him? He doesn't deserve friends. If I ever see you with him again, I will beat you up. Understand? You stay away from the gay lord."

He lets go of me and walks away. I stand there, confused. I can't be friends with Dan, or this guy is going to beat me up? What's wrong with him?

I'll have to ignore Dan today. I can't risk it. I don't want to get beaten up.
