Eren's POV:

One week, we have gone through one full week. It wasn't so bad to be honest, it was relatively calm, seeing Levi trying to adjust was sadly amusing. All through the week I have gotten to know Levi more, he was a quiet man, but I learned he has been trained to do a lot and is very capable of a lot. I also learned that he had no one else now, the second he decided to run with us his title as a Mask was stripped away from him, he was deemed an outsider and probably wanted now. Especially now, as his mask has been taken from him. He seemed to adjust well to that whole thing too, the cuts along his cheeks starting to heal slowly, his hands almost constantly resting on his cheeks or jaw. Mikasa never mentioned before that the reason why she was a Rebel was because her family left the Mask alliance, and it wasn't something I was going to spread around, especially the fact that Levi was so scarred about it.

I had thought about the dream I had with the strange lady often now, wondering if that was really real or just some fucked up thing I dreamed in my screwed up state, wondering if I should think about it more or simply forget it. Levi frankly was an amazing right hand man, he was silent and very dangerous. His loyalty was obvious, It was shame I couldn't trust him yet at all. I was currently in the throne room, people were lined up to the door and kneeling in front of me. They asked for various things or gave gifts of gratitude, my blessing and my advice. I have been here most the morning, my smile was starting to hurt as I talked to person after person"How do you do this?" I heard Levi mumble to me, his voice hushed and hesitant. He hasn't done this much so I was surprised as I leaned over, not looking at him as I spoke.

"It takes a lot of pra-"

"EREN! EREN!" I got cut off and heard a frantically terrified voice scream out, I stood up instantly, everyone in the hall burst out into whispers and some even ran out of the room on instinct,  my eyes spotting Armin racing into the hall and rushing up to me as Levi shifted nervously, "Eren! Eren the mask! Eren the mask had a tracker in it!" Armin said terrified, he threw the mask at Levi frantically. I looked at him, turning fully, his eyes were wide as he backed up from the mask as it fell to the floor with a soft thud, "I didn't see it until it blinked red! It had a concealer over it!" Armin yelled, the people in the room soon wailing in shock and looking on nervously, causing me to glare down at the mask.

"Everyone. Out. Prepare yourselves, lock the city down!" I told Armin, he nodded and raced out of the room. People rushed out of the throne room, Mikasa and Jean soon coming to my sides, my eyes swinging up from the mask to Levi, "Explain" I hissed and crossed my arms, he shook his head in shock.

"I-I had no idea I s-swear!" He stuttered, his voice laced with fear and betrayal, his feet twitching. Why would he feel betrayed?

"Did you know?" I asked calmly, he looked at me and backed up, Mikasa and Jean shifting.

"No! I didn't know! If I knew I would have told you!" He said, his hands shaking as they clenched. I stepped forward, towering over Levi dangerously "I swear, if you knew I will slay you where you stand myself" I hissed dangerously, letting the words it sink in before I stepped back from him and looked around, "Put the city under lock down, destroy the mask and send for other Rebel reinforcments" I ordered Jean and he nodded, racing off. Connie ran up to us after Jean left, his eyes wide and confused.

"Eren what's happening?" He asked, his gaze flitting between me and Levi.

"Keep your eyes on Levi, do not leave him once. Understand?" I ordered, he frowned grimly but nodded.

"Eren pl-"

"Quiet" I snarled, looking back at Levi as he tried to talk. I stared at his eyes, my stomach doing flips but this wasn't the time, I turned away and walked out of the room with a solemn Mikasa behind me.

"This is the second time for battle in a month Eren, the people won't be used to it..."

"They are trained for this" I answered quietly and got to Armin's room. I pulled up a chair and sat beside him, "Speak" I said and he nodded.

"There is no one around yet, but they will come it's inevitable. I discovered the tracker too late..."

"Hey. It's better you found it then not Armin, better late then never" I consoled reassured and he pursed his lips, but nodded again. I sighed and stood, "Keep high security tabs on everything, even have stealth guards around just in case" I said quickly and pushed past Mikasa.

"Eren where are you going?" She asked and caught my wrist.

I looked back at her, my gaze hard and angry, "To talk to a certain short bastard"
