I was holding Peri's hand as we walked on the beach the cold waves hitting out feet lightly it was starting to clear up with the storm it stoped raining and it wasn't thundering as bad"hey Steven..." peridot said in a whisper "yeah dot?" I said back kindly "do you ever think about what something would be like if you weren't there?" She said still a soft whisper "w-what?"I said in disbelief at such a strange question but now that I think about it I always wondered what would have happened if my mom was still here instead of me "you know if you weren't here? What would people think or feel?" She'd said trying to make it more clear but I knew exactly what she meant "well I know if you weren't her I would feel really sad" I said trying to make her feel like she matters cause she dose matter not only to me but to the gems...I think. "Wow...thanks" she said blushing she looks so cute and Precious. We finally made it to the top of the hill "wow..."Peri said sounding amazed I sat down and patted the seat next to me on the ground "here sit" I said to her as she sat next to me "wow you can see the whole city from up here!"she said amazed "yeah and the the rest of beach city has no lights either" I said back looking upon the city below I looked over at peridot she may have been trying to kill us a few days ago but it already seems like she has come so far. She looked at me and I blushed I would have looked away if I could it's like she had me under some sort of spell I felt myself leaning in and slowly closing my eyes

I was looking down at the city which was under the pail moon light I felt Steven looking at me so I turned to him he blushed and so did I. I don't know if he was caught up in the moment but he started leaning in and closing his eyes what is he doing!? I said to myself I felt my cheeks heat up as I started relaxing I-I feel like I want this..I think leaning in we were so close I could feel his warmth from his body... then the lights of the city come back on. wow way to ruin the moment "h-hey the lights are back on hehe" I laughed nervously pulling away from his warm body blushing. he quickly pulled away blushing hard "hehe look at that they are!" He said nervously "come on we should get back to the temple he said getting up and holding out his hand for me to take it. I graciously took it and got up we walked down the now lit board walk to the temple still holding hands. I wanted to do this more with him hold hands and...well touch or lips together... when we got to the temple we saw the pearl freaking out and immediately started calming down when she saw Steven and me garnet and amethyst were also standing outside looking a lot calmer "Steven! Peridot!" Pearl squawked "we heard the lights went out because of the storm so we came back and you weren't here!! We thought-" pearl was going to finish her dramatic sentence but the fused one cut in "we were just worried about you too" she smiled like she knew what had happened..I blushed at the thought. "Yeah what were you two doing?" Amethyst asked us suspiciously "amethyst..." Steven said embarrassed and annoyed "what I only asked a question" amethyst said with a smirk "leave them alone amethyst it's late you should be going to bed Steven." Garnet said to us "right."Steven said smiling then he started walking to the temple "oh and also since pearl wanted to come and check on you we didn't finish our mission" garner said mostly to Steven "yeah p! You couldn't just let the love birds be" amethyst said trying to satart an argument with Pearl like normal I saw Steven blush I didn't know what 'love birds' were but it must be personal to Steven I started following Steven to the temple.

Well the gems are going back on the mission that they were doing and now there's going to be nothing to do it's only 8:15 so I'm not that tired. But at least I have peridot. I reach the temple and turn on the lights "ahh it's good to see again" I said to myself and went to the kitchen to get a snack peridot walked in shortly after and observed me as I made mac& cheese "what are you doing?" She tilted her head and questioned my actions "oh I'm making what humans call food it's used to give us energy" I say smiling "gems don't need 'food'" she says back to me looking weirdly at the food "do you want to try some?" I say putting the mac & cheese in a bowl "but I don't require food for energy" she said confused "yeah but amethyst is a gem and she eats food for fun it taste good!" I said enthusiastic "oh ok I guess I'll try your food" she said to me hesitantly "here" I took out a fork and put some mac & cheese on it and fed it to her like a baby I thought it was cute "this type of food is called mac & cheese" i say pulling the fork back after she took a bite. "Sooo how do you like it?" I say hopefully she likes it it would be fun to have another gem that likes food to try stuff with me yes there's amethyst but she normally eats everything before I can try it. "Steven, this is amazing!" Peridot said with stars in her eyes "do you want a bowl to yourself?" I ask her "yes!" Peridot said happily. I get another bowl and put the extra mac & cheese in it I get a fork and give it to her she immediately starts eating. "Do you want to watch t.v with me?" I ask her "you mean the image cube?" She asked I guess she was talking about the television "umm yeah it's called a t.v or television" I said back "oh ok yeah sure we got nothing better to do" she said back sitting on the couch. I sit next to her and turn on the t.v with the remote "can we watch this one?" She asked with stars in her eyes I looked at it camp pining hearts the DVD read "uhh sure" I said with a smile we have a big box of camp pining heart series. She watched the tape very entertained and I felt my eyes getting heavy as I let out a yawn. I looked at the clock it read 9:45 pm "hey dot I'm going to sleep it's getting pretty late" I say to peridot who looked away from the t.v with a confused look "sleep?" She asked oh right gems don't need sleep either "sleep is when you rest your body for the next day gems don't really need to do it but amethyst dose it and she seems to have more energy in the morning." I say to her "oh can I try this sleep with you?" She asked me nervously "yeah of course!" I was going to get some extra blankets and stuff for her to sleep on the couch but the couch can be a bit uncomfortable and I wanted her first time sleeping be a good experience. I got up and took her hand "you can sleep with me" I said blushing a bit."oh wow thanks" she says back we walk to my bed and I lay down on the bed patting the spot next to me for her to lay down. She got in and lays on her back not covered by the blankets or anything "here I'll help you get more comfy" I said slightly giggling I tucked her in like my dad would do to me as a baby then I layed down next to her covering up myself "now what am I sleeping?" She asked "now you think about nothing and you (yawn) fall asleep" I did the steps and I fell asleep myself.
Peridots p.o.v
Steven did the steps he had to do to go to 'sleep' and his breathing rhythm was slowing down to a constant speed I guess he already fell asleep. I followed the same steps he told me and I felt myself fading away from consciousness and going somewhere relaxing and everything went black.
