  I wake up to my phone going off I quickly get up and answer the call "hello?" I ask on the phone "oh hey Steven!" I heard Connie say on the other side of the phone "oh hey Connie long time no see!" I said happy to hear my best friends voice again "well I was going to go to tennis practice but it was cancelled today can I come over?" I heard her ask me "yeah of course! You can meet my other friend she's a gem her name is peridot I'm sure you will like each other!" I say excited that that my two best friends will meet each other "oh..that sounds great" she said not sounding too excited about it I was going to ask her what's wrong but she started talking again "I'll be there around 1:00 ok? Bye" she said and quickly hung up. Weird I thought to myself I went down stairs and saw peridot sleeping on the couch awww she looks so cute! I thought to myself the I thought of last night I walked over to peridot and kissed her on the cheek. I went to the kitchen to get something to eat I got some pizza and warmed it up after I ate I went to my bathroom to get ready for the day I was in the middle of brushing my teeth when I heard little foot steps run up the stairs I look in the doorway to see peridot looking confused I finished brushing my teeth and went over to Peri "good morning dot how did you sleep?" I asked her she had a slight blush on her face "I slept fine..I guess" she said walking away "hey where you goin'?" I asked "uhh..I don't know there's nothing really to do what are you doing today?" She asked me i immediately started smiling "today my best friend is coming over and I want you to meet her!" I said excitedly I saw her give a fake smile "oh ok"

Peridots p.o.v
Steven said his best friend is coming over something inside me broke I don't know why but I started feeling sad and angered by the thought of Steven having a girl as a friend not only a friend but a 'best friend' she probably known him longer and is closer to Steven then I am..but Steven seems excited about us meeting so if he's happy I'm happy. I gave the best smile I could "oh ok" I said trying to sound cheerful but it didn't work "dot what's wrong?" He asked me oh no he sensed something wrong with his no it all powers! I thought to myself then there was a knock at the door oh thank the stars..perfect timing. I said in my head "I'll get it!"Steven said as he got up and opened the door I followed behind him "hey Steven!" Said a unknown female voice a brown human girl hugged my Steven! (Deep breaths) ok peridot calm down do it for Steven...I immediately calmed down "oh hey Connie!" Steven said to 'connie' "this is peridot she is the gem I was telling you about!" Steven said happily I waved friendly at Connie who in return gave me a glare w-what why is she doing that isent waving what humans do to there friends to greet them? I thought the glare lasted shortly but caused so much tension then she put on a fake smile "hello peridot" she said to me "umm hi?" I said confused she was just looking at me like she wanted to kill me now she wants to do all this nice stuff for Steven?! Uhh humans are so complicated. "So what do you guys want to do?" Steven asked with a nervous smile I guess he saw the tension between us "we could go to fun land!" Steven says "yeah that sounds great Steven!" Connie said back with a smile "what's a funland?" I asked confused "uhh stupid gem.." Connie said to quiet for steven to here but I heard just fine I gave her the most ever glare I ever gave a person in my life "Funland is a place you go to have fun! There's rides and food there too I'll show you!" Steven said kindly "o-ok" I said slightly blushing the Connie looked annoyed but I didn't care "ok let's go!"Steven said holding my hand smiling I gave Connie a smirk she gave me another glare and we were on our way.
