I open my eyes and felt something warm snuggling me I looked down to find a blanket wrapped around me. W-what the? I didn't put this on me I thought getting up I thought I locked the door *sigh* I doesn't matter I got up and looked at myself in the reflection rectangle then I remembered all of what happened yesterday the Connie, the rides, the..kiss,and his confession I thought blushing then there was a knock on the door "peridot? Can you open the door? I need to get ready for the day." I heard Steven say on the other side of the door "fine quarts child" I say opening the door as Steven walks in "hi peri" he said to me as he walked to the sink and picked up what humans call a 'toothbrush' he put a weird gel on it and put it in his mouth these humans and there weird rituals...I thought to myself as Steven finished his ritual. Then I thought about what I could do today but there was nothing to do so I decided to ask Steven if he had something to do today " so Steven..what are you planning on doing today?" I asked him crossing my arms and leaning on the wall. "Well..well I don't know actually.." Steven says looking like he was thinking "well think of something quarts child! There's nothing to do" I say walking out of the bathroom and sitting on the couch Steven came and sat next to me still thinking "what's up Ste-man and p-dot?" Non other than amethyst says walking out of her room "nothin much but being bored. Do you have anything to do?" Steven asked the purple gem as she searched through the fridge "no nothing but going through some of the piles in my room want to help?" She asked us eating a slice of pizza "sure there's nothing else to do.." I say bored "yeah we could find something interesting!" Steven said getting up and dragging me along with him we got to her door and her purple gem started glowing as the door opened to revile a messy room as me and Steven walk in.

We walk into amethysts messy room as she dived into a big pile of junk "wow..." I heard peri say impressed by how messy one gem can be you would think that the trash piles would end at some point but no. We started looking through piles of stuff surprisingly there were some pretty good stuff in here between me and peri we found a unicorn pillow that she really seemed to like, a guy actually it was a explorer gal I don't know why amethyst had one but then again what doesn't she have? I thought to myself still walking around until I saw something that caught my eye I looked around to see if amethyst or peridot were near me but they were at different piles away from me I bent down and picked the small shiny item up it was a ring a beautiful delicate silver lining with a big bluish clear diamond it was a bit dusty bit you could still see it shin like a star I wiped off the diamond on my shirt and it looked even more gorgeous then before why did amethyst have this? I thought as I stood up carefully holding the ring "hey Steven what did you find?" Said peridot walking up to me it started me at first and I almost dropped the ring but I grabbed it stiffly and put it in my pocket before she could see what it was "o-oh hey p-peri" I said with a nervous smile "I didn't find anything but more junk" I said getting my normal happy voice back it made me feel bad for lying to her but I was thinking about giving it to her as a present. "oh ok?" She said with a confused look on her beautiful face "hey guys garnet just said that we have a mission to go on for more corrupted gems" amethyst says walking up to us "ok how long will you guys take" I ask "oh..garnet said a few days but that's if everything goes good.." she said back slowly walking towards her door "amethyst hurry up we need to get going!!" I heard pearl squawk from the warp pad "ok I'm coming! Gosh" amethyst says looking annoyed. We all walk out of her room me and peridot sat on the couch as the gems warped away "so what now?" I heard peri ask as I look out the window and saw that it was almost sunset wow we must have been looking through amethyst room most the day. I thought to myself "well we could..walk outside and watch the sunset?" I asked this would be a perfect opportunity to give her the gift..and maybe more I thought to myself as I blushed I guess she didn't notice thank goodness "yeah sure there's nothing else to do" she said looking at me with a smile I smiled back at her. We got up and walked outside I could feel the soft, cool sand on the sides of my Sandals we sat down on a log along the shore, the waves barely touching our feet the sunset turned the once blue sky into a pink, orange, and purple splash background as the blue sea reflected the same colors I looked over to peridot who had stars in her eyes staring at the beautiful sunset in front of her I blushed she looks so beautiful I thought to myself blushing more then she looked at me our eyes locked on each other's "peridot?" I asked kind of nervously "y-yeah?" She asked me blushing I pulled out the ring from my back pocket " h-here this ring is for you.." I say blushing heavily her eyes lit up like fireworks "s-Steven.." she says sounding like she just ran a marathon. " it's beautiful where did you get it?!" Peri asked getting some of her breath back " I-i found it in amethyst room and I thought it would look even more beautiful on you.." I say blushing " thank you.." she said hugging me it wasn't a forced hug or a normal hug that I got from her before this..this was different it felt so warm and nice I hugged back "no problem.." I said back sadly she pulled gently away from the hug I put the ring on her finger she looked at it then she looked at me. Then she did something I thought I would never see her do she leaned in and kissed me I was surprised at first but then I returned the kiss it ended shortly after. " I-I'm sorry.." she said backing away from me a bit blushing a bark green "it's o-ok" I said back blushing also. It became silent as we watched the last few seconds of the sunset when it was over we went inside *yawn* I yawned as I got in bed and covered up with the blankets then I noticed peridot watching me from the end of my bed "umm peridot what are you doing up here?" I asked smiling as I sat up "I-i wanted to sleep here tonight I feel lonely in the bathroom..." she said giving me innocence eyes that were impossible to reject "oh, alright" I said smiling as I pat the space next to me "thanks!" She said getting under the covers as she closed her eyes. A few minutes later I was almost asleep when I heard little snores I knew it was peridot I turned over and cuddled her I needed her here by my side " goodnight my peridot.." I said as I fell into the darkness of my sleep.
