Steve and I sat in room for hours and just spoke about the things Bucky did when suddenly Steve stood up, "I'm going after Shmidt and finishing this once and for all,"
I laughed, but soon saw that he serious about his decision. "You're serious, aren't you?" I asked getting up from my bed. He nodded, "One last fight," he said holding out his hand.
I smirked, "One last fight," I repeated putting my hand in his. "Then suit up," "Then, get out so I can suit up Steve," "Oh right, sorry," he said turning pink and walked out closing the door behind him.

I held onto Falsworth as we crashed through the windows and started to shoot up the place, "Now this is a party-Hey who said you can leave," I said to a hydra soldier before sending them flying into another hydra soldier.
"Nicki lets go," I heard Steve call out to me as he started to head out the door. I punched one more hydra soldier before following him.
Soon Steve and I were running after Shmidt. As Shmidt was shooting at us with his gun I hid behind Steve. When Shmidt starting running again I saw Steve throw his shield to hopefully stop him as he did that I saw a hydra soldier come out from nowhere with a fire gun.
I pushed Steve into a doorway and held up my hands making a force field walking closer and closer to the hydra bastard, "Not today asshole-" just then bullets flew past me and hit the bastard causing him to catch on fire.
"Are you trying to kill me-" "You're late," Steve said interrupting me stepping closer to Peggy making me smirk at the pair. "Weren't you about to," "Right, come one Nicki," Steve said taking off running again. Oh the Steggy ship shall be when this is all over.
"Whoa, that is one big ass airplane-" "Language," "Seriously," I said punching and throwing force fields around trying to catch up with Steve who is swinging on a hook to avoid everything.
"Get in," I looked over and saw Colonel Phillips driving Shmidt's car. I didn't even try to ask where he found it and jumped in. He took off till we caught up to Steve, "Get in loser!" I yelled at him as he jumped in the car.
"Keep it steady," "Steve," "Wait," Peggy grabbed him by the collar and kissed him, "Go get him." "Well, I'm not kissing you," Colonel Phillips said looking up and back foward as he drove.
"Steve here," I said taking off Bucky's dog tags and cliping it around his neck, "Nicki, I can't-" "But you will, keep them safe and this way I know you'll return to give them back to me," I said feel tears build up. I kissed his cheeck, "Be safe," I said sitting back down.
I watched as he jumped onto a leg holding on not knowing that it would be the last I saw him. »»»»»» "Come in, this is Captain Rogers can you hear me," "Captain Rogers-" "Steve," Peggy and I said pushing Morita out of the away.
"Steve are you alright?" Peggy asked concerned for him not that I can blame her. "Peggy, Nicki, Shmidt is dead," "Steven, what about the plane?" I asked slowly getting more worried for him not wanting to lose someone else. "It's a little bit tough to explain," I heard him reply. "Give us your coordinates, we'll find you a safe landing spot," Peggy said trying to look for one. "I don't think you'll find a safe landing, but I can try to force it down," Steve said. No, no, and no I can not go through this again. I can't lose him too, I thought.
"There isn't enought time," I heard Steve say to Peggy. "Peggy, Nicki," I heard Steve whisper. "We're here," we said at the same time. "I'm going to need a rain check on that dance and Nicki it's going to be a while before I can give you back Bucky's dog tags," "Alright, a week from today at the Stark club," "Just keep them for me till I see you again Steve, don't lose them," "You got it,"
I slowly backed away not being able to hear anything else. I hit the wall behind me sliding down till I hit the floor pulling my legs towards my chest and holding them. Tears threatening to stream down my face.
"Steve, Steve," I heard Peggy call out, but no response.
In that moment I just let the tears fall not being able to hold them in much longer. The man who became my best friend someone I could confide in, was gone.
