December 29th

It was only seven o' clock, but the sky was already becoming dark.

Although I hate the cold, I couldn't resist the snow. The only ones out were me and my little sister, Koko.

I didn't plan on bringing her, but as I left this morning I forgot to lock the front door. She follows me everywhere I go.

Just as I was about to head home, Koko threw a snowball at me.

It didn't hurt though, because of my winter coat. But it slid right down, leaving a frosty trail down my coat.

"Haha you're a snowman!" She teased. She started giggling. "It's not even a good joke..." I said.

But she still laughed uncontrollably like a toddler. "You're so immature sometimes." I added as I walked towards the house.

But as I reached the first step, I realized how stupid my comment was, since Koko was eight.

I didn't say anything though. She wouldn't notice anyway.

"Wait Belle!" Koko screamed from behind me.

I opened the door, and Koko crawled under me and into the house.

"You can't catch me!" She shouted from the living room. "I don't need to!" I shouted back, still at the door.

I was about to walk in, when I heard an awful sound. The clinking clatter of high-heeled boots, against the ground, crushing the snow, and breaking the ice.

The sound arrived at my doorstep.

There, stood a tall blonde teenage girl, wearing a matching outfit complete with a sparkly winter vest and her matching, one and only, unmistakable boots.

It was Callie. A girl I despised since my first year in high school.

Her, and her perfect self, clown clothes, and her bubblegum chewing, insult-giving, big mouth.

"Hey Bell-Bell." She said with a sarcastic voice and a fake smile.

I looked down at her with an emotionless face, but the inside of me is just waiting to burst.

"Hello, Callie." I said monotone, ready to run inside and shut the door.

I turned halfway, but she said something that sent echoes down my ears.

"Are you coming to the iceskating rink?" She asked. As she said that, I completely froze.

Are you coming to the iceskating rink?

Are you coming to the iceskating rink?

Those words repeated in my head, over and over again.

Iceskating was a life-long dream of mine, but I never got to it.

This could be my chance to achieve my lifetime goals!

She cleared her throat, bringing me back to reality. I was faced the other way, still processing.

"If you're coming, it's tonight at 9, just across the street...." She trailed off.

A smile crept across my face as I finally turned to her.

"....maybe...." I said quietly, not wanting to make any promises.

She gave me a weird look. "Okay? I got to go get ready for later. Bye Bellz!" She said as started to walked down the street.

"Bye..." I whispered to her. I walked into the house. And as I did, I quickly ran back out.

Callie was half way down the block. "And my name is Belle!" I yelled to her as loud as I could.

As she turned around to look at me I ran into the house and locked the door with a smile.
