-Sarah-
I felt horrible. I can't believe I was going to do this to Gerard. I know I'm not over Jared but I love Gee. And I called Jared to tell him about Gerard and I. Basically rub it in his face that I have something with Gee that I didn't have with him. And that's true love. Jared was my first love but Gerard is my true love. And it made me feel guilty by naming our daughter Hailie. I love that name but it's like giving birth to the past that you can't walk away from.
Gerard held my hand as I lay in the hospital bed. I wasn't even three centimetres so I can't even get pain meds yet. But that was over two hours ago. So hopefully things hurry up. Gee sat beside me with a smile on his face but he'd been crying. He looked flustered and angry. He's angry at me. It made me cry knowing our daughter was going to be born under a bad sign.
"Why did you call him?" Gee asked in a raw voice, it sounded pain filled and saddened. I sighed and smirked up at him.
"I wanted to show him you can give me something he can't." I admitted softly. His eyes lightened up slightly as he smiled down at me.
"And what might that be?" He asked again. I smiled widely.
"Pure and untainted love." I said proudly. I have something special and there was no way I was letting it go. I need to set things right with Gerard and let the past leave me alone. I swallowed hard.
"How 'bout her name is just Leah Way?" I suggested sweetly. Gerard nodded eagerly as his eyes lit up brightly. He practically jumped around the room he was filled with glee. Gee came back down to my side and gripped my hand again. His flesh moulded mine, it sent shivers down my spine.
"Yes, it's perfect." He uttered sweetly. His voice was raw and hard. I love his voice like that. I smiled at him but the smirk was interrupted by a contraction. It was a great pressure in my crotch, a twisting and knotting feeling in my stomach and a boiling hot sharp pain in my back. Plus I felt like I was going to be sick. My heart felt like it was being bathed in acid. I winced loudly as the pain was the worst I've ever felt then it a pressure realise, warm liquid was soaked into the bed and my gown. Gerard's eyes widened as he peered around, his jaw dropped before his hand slid from mine as he launched to the door.
"Nurse!" He cried loudly down the halls. He waited there before coming in with a Latin nurse. She smiled nicely at me before lifting the blanket and my gown.
"Sweet heart pull your legs back please." She requested with a Spanish accent. I did as she said. She checked me before smiling a toothy smirk. She looked at Gerard and went out of the room quickly returning with Doctor Noonan trailing behind her. Dr Noonan smiled at me nicely.
"Sarah, I'm going to check you." She explained while pulling a pair of gloves on. I nodded and looked up at Gerard. He looked nervous but excited. I felt the cold air against my skin as a great pressure made me wince slightly. Dr Noonan looked up at me and smiled.
"Sarah, you're ten centimetres." She announced with a lively voice. I felt an exciting nervousness begin in my stomach. I watched Gee closely, he looked puzzled. His black hair messy but it was a clean type of messy.
"What does that mean?" Gerard asked a question he knew the answer too. I smiled at him.
"It means Leah is minutes away from being in your arms." I put it to him sweetly. Gee looked at me with worried eyes. He was about to see his daughter be brought into this world. Dr Noonan brought a few more nurses into the room before getting prepared to deliver a baby. I pulled my legs back and took a few deep breaths before following to Doctor's instructions and beginning to push Leah into the world. I watched Gerard again, his eyes wide with ambition and joy. Every one was looking at my crotch, this is awkward. And my parents aren't even here. They're in Toronto for work. They're on their way back today though. I stopped pushing to breath. For some reason I was laughing even though I was in so much pain.
"I'm sorry every one has to look at my crotch." I apologised. Dr Noonan looked up at me and laughed.
"Dignity is out the window right now, sweet heart." She uttered. I nodded and on the Doctor's count I began to push. It seemed like hours but it was only minutes. I could hear Gerard's cheers. He was doing amazing, even though he was just watching a life he helped create begging pushed into this world. I felt like giving up but when I was about to I heard it. The best sound a mother could hear. The high pitch cries filled the room and so did her personality. I watched as Gerard was crying tears of joy, he was so happy. And as was I. Leah was placed in Gerard's arms, his hazel eyes were so bright they were glowing.
"Welcome to the world Leah Way." Gee introduced the little girl who looked just like her daddy to the world.
