Ollie and Eugine were both wide awake and looking at each other. They're identical but I know who is who. Ollie was the one who was always kicking and Eugine was the one who liked to flail his arms about. So Oliver likes to kick his legs and Eugine likes to hold things. Mikey can tell by their eyes, Eugine has more of my eyes and Oliver has Gerard's. Which is odd Mikey and Gee have the same eyes so.
Mikey came back into his room with two heated bottles in his hands. Seeing him being such a good dad makes me feel amazing. But there was something he needed to tell me. Mikey sat down on the bed and smiled as we both fed the twins. My gaze ran from Ollie to Mikey. Mikey looked intently down at Eugine and made faces.
"What's wrong?" I asked softly, my voice hushed. Mikey's hazel eyes flickered up to me. He gave me a sheepish smile.
"I sold all my comic books." He announced. I felt my heart drop when he said he sold the only things that keep him sane.
"Why'd you do that?" I questioned.
"We now have a couple hundred dollars in the bank." He added. I then knew why he sold his comics. He sold them so he can buy diapers for the twins and what not. In ways I felt like he was finally manning up and being a proper dad but at the same time he was growing up too fast. I didn't want that. He deserved to atleast have a reminder of what he used to have. I smiled and looked at him.
"I love you."
