~Frank~

~10 years before~

I stood nervously at her front door. I know I'm six years old and all but this is my first date with my first girlfriend. Our parents think it's cute but we're raher serious. First grade is serious shiz, you either make it or break it. And we're the first couple in either classes. I feel proud of that, we're always together. Gee is kinda jealous but it's weird to know that he, a fourth grader is going to ask Sarah a first grader out.

I smiled and adjusted my Tom and Jerry tee shirt. My mom was taking Kat and I out to the arcade then   dinner then a movie. I smiled widely as the door opened and Kat's mom stood there looking down at me. Kat was hidden behind her. She looked beautiful. She and I have the same colour hair. She wore the dark hair in loose pig tails. She wore a Thunder Cats tee shirt with a blue hoodie and jeans. She wore pink Pokemon shoes. I felt my stomach knot and become filled with butterflies. Kat has helped me alot lately, since my parents are getting a divorce. She knows what it's like since her parents split up three months ago.

"Hey." I shyly said with a wave of my hand. She smiled widely at me and giggled.

"Hi Frankie." She greeted me with a hug. I smiled and felt light fluttering feeling in my chest. We began to walk back down the path back to the car. The warm day was nice. The sun was still high in the sky. I'm excited to spend the rest of the afternoon and most of the evening with her. I smiled as we walked beside each other.

"Hey, is it cool if I hold your hand?" I asked sweetly. I watched as she smiled radiantly at me before slidding her hand into mine.

"Is it wrong that I think it's lame to dance?" She asked. I laughed at her remark and shook my head. I smiled and opened the car door allowing her to climb in before me. I jumped in after her, slamming the door behind me. I sat there buckling in my seat belt. I looked over at her and grinned. I didn't want to grin but I couldn't help it.

"Do you like my stupid hair?" I asked shaking my head, my messy mop like hair shaded my eyes from the bright sun. I peeked through my bangs and saw Kat smile and giggle at me. She looked down at her outfit.

"Could you guess that I didn't know what to wear?" She asked softly. I smiled and shook my head. I looked out my window and frowned at the fact that my mom was standing there socializing. I groaned and rolled my window down. I pulled half my body out the window and bellowed out.

"C'mon mom! Before all the good prizes are gone!" My voice broke into a squeaky scream. I blushed slightly and went back into the car. I really was worried all the good prizes at the arcade were gone. My mom said her Good-Byes and came to the car. She drove down the street.

"So Katrina how is school?" My mom asked to break the silence. She looked at me and smirked sweetly.

"Um, it's good." She replied sweetly.

We drove for a while longer before my mom pulled into the mall's parking lot. I smiled and jumped out of the car. I held Kat's hand again we were walking up to the large building. My mom looked at us and smiled.

"I've got to do some shopping, I'll be at the SafeWay across the way. Frank here is some money. Be good." She kissed the top of my head and handed me a medium size bag of quarters. I squirmed away from her grasp and smiled.

"Bye mom." I cheered as Kat and I entered the arcade. She and I played for what seemed like hours. We also gossiped which is weird since I'm not the type to gossip. We laughed as we killed each other at laser tag. It was amazing. We stood in line and counted our tickets. Kat had something like nine hundred and fifty. I was still counting but I was well into the thousands. She smiled and eyed up the giant bull dog stuffed animal. She frowned slightly.

"What's wrong?" I asked quietly. Her eyes shot up at me.

"I don't have enough tickets for the stuffed bull dog." She pouted slightly. I knew what I needed to do. It was for her. I smiled and handed her a string of tickets and smiled.

"Here, now you do." I said softly. She smiled and hugged me tightly. I smiled as the fluttering feeling rumbled through my stomach. She pulled and smiled at me. Before I could blink I had my lips on hers. They were soft and warm. I pulled away and blushed slightly. She giggled at me while rubbing her arm.

"I thought only boyfriends and girlfriends kissed?" She questioned quietly. My jaw dropped slightly as I thought of a reply.

"You wanna be my girlfriend?" I asked suddenly. What was I doing? I had no control of my mouth. She drives me insane. I watched as a wide radiant smile played her lips.

"Ugh, yeah sure I'll be your girlfriend Frankie." She replied. I felt like I was on top of the world. Nothing could bring me down. Nothing.
