This was it, now or never. I stride in the bathroom nervously as Wren was in the bedroom with the twins. I felt a mosh pit of butterflies rocking out in my stomach. Wren and I maybe young but I don't care. I love her and she loves me. I could barely breathe with the shiny gold ring with small aquamarine stone placed in the centre. I could feel my chest tighten as I pondered the question in my head. Wren just got back from talking with her parents. I felt the courage gather up inside, my hand swung the door open wide and I marched down the hall to my room. Wren looked surprised with her greenish brown eyes wide with hope and faith. I felt like I was standing on the edge of a cliff waiting to jump. Her lingering brown hair stayed pulled up into a pony tail. She sat at the foot of my bed in a pair of jeans and a hoodie. Her legs brought her up to meet me eye to eye.

“Wren, I love you so much. Will you marry me?” I spat out all at once. I watched as tears vacated her eyes and streamed down her flushed cheeks. Her hand went to cover her mouth as I awaited a reply. I could feel my world begin to crack and shatter. She was bawling her eyes out before me. My arms went around her as we tumbled to the bed. Her cries made me feel like she didn’t want me anymore. I hushed her and rocked back and forth. I smiled at looked deep into her eyes.

“Now, what do you have to say?” I asked again. Wren sobbed again before looking at me with red eyes and a frown.

“I’m moving.”
