It started snowing outside today. The snow reminds me of a huge tub of ice cream, yet to be named a flavor. Also, it reminds me that nobody is perfect. Even if you start a new, your life is bound to take a wrong turn somewhere. Like snow gets footprints. But it's what you get from it that counts. I like building snowmen. People should look at life like snow.
This morning, Taylor Swift released a tweet that said, "releasing a new album!" I am so excited. I love music. Music makes you happy. It makes you smile and it makes you want to dance.
My brother, Austin, has been seeing a new girl, Caroline. She is a girl two years younger than him with autism. I want to be like Austin. He never judges a book by it's cover. Austin loves everybody. He reads me a verse from his Bible every day.
My parents don't know he is a Christian. Both of them are super against Christianity. They say if God can't save us from this terrible world we live in, then there probably isn't one. Austin learned about Jesus from his best friend, Alyssa.
Alyssa has asked him to go to church with her a couple of times but Austin doesn't want to have to lie to his parents. I told Austin one day he will have to fess up. He says he agrees and wants that day to come soon. He wants to share the word about God.
I like Christianity. I like how all these people have that much hope. Hope is hard for me. I always prepare for the worst.
I accepted Jesus into my heart along with my brother. I have been trying to trust in God more. It is hard for me though. Which is why Austin takes me into his room after my parents are asleep and reads me verses from the Bible.
I'm still working on it. Nobody can be a perfect Christian though, that's what Austin said.
I wish I had more friends. Well, I wish I at least had A friend. There aren't much people in my small town in Missouri. Enough people for my brother to find, I guess.
My 19th birthday is coming up in a few weeks. Since my brother is older, 20, he can tell me about each age. He says that 19 is as eventful as our small town. Not eventful at all.
It may seem to some people that Austin should be away at college. Those people that assume that don't know we are actually pretty poor. So, Austin does online lessons and works at a car dealership.
When Austin got the job, my dad got really mad and surprised because my dad's job as a gas station worker isn't nearly as much money intake as Austin's job. I guess you could say Austin is who brings in all our money.
My work at the record store is really fun. I get to dance to the music they play as I put away records and clean the shelves. My job may not get as much money, but I do let my family borrow some of the money I make.
I wasn't originally going to share my money but Austin said it was the right thing to do. If I want to be like him, I better listen to him.
That's all I need to say for today. Just another January Saturday. Peace out, my fellow self. At least I hope it's myself. If your reading this, and your not me, LEAVE!
