I walked down the stairs. I immediately smelled cinnamon rolls, my favorite.

"Did you make cinnamon rolls, babe?" I asked Zach as I saw him standing next to the table in a blue polo shirt and tan shorts.

"Yes." Zach smiled and reached out his arms to hug me.

I was in red jean shorts and a white Hollister t-shirt.

"You look nice. These cinnamon rolls look nice too, I didn't know you cooked." I laughed and kissed him on the cheek.

"I might have cheated a little." He laughed as he pulled out a chair for me.

Zach's house had started to feel more like home in the past five months. Even though Austin and I visit once a month to give them a Bible study, we are happier here.

Soon, Zach's family and Austin came into the kitchen and started eating too. Zach's parents were super nice and were happy to have us in their home.

"I have a surprise for you. Get in the car." Zach smiled as he got up and put my plate and his in the sink.

"Ok." I said slowly and walked out to the car.

Soon enough, Zach came in the car too and drove us to this beautiful flower garden.

"It's so pretty!" I squealed.

He opened my door for me and took my hand. We walked around the flower garden for a while, admiring the flowers and talking.

"I love you." He whispered in my ear.

"I love you too." I smiled.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Zach smiled as he got down on one knee and pulled out a tiny black box from his shorts pocket.

I started crying. I covered my mouth with my hand. Zach was crying too.

"Kaitlyn, will you marry me?" Zach asked and opened the black box.

"Yes." I cried as I put my hands on his face and kissed him through my tears.

7 months later...

"I do." I said through my tears and smile.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The pastor said as Zach and I embraced each other and kissed.

Later, during the reception, Zach made a toast.

"To the wonderful memories in the past, and the EVEN more wonderful memories to come, spending our days with the beautiful people around us, soaking in their smiles and joy, and spreading their joy to others. To love and happiness. Cheers." Zach toasted.

Austin gave his best man speech. And part of the speech made all of us tear up.

"I think it makes all the sense in the world, because you see how much you love each other. And Kaitlyn I still see that look in your eyes when you look at Zach. And I hope you know that Zach still has that look in his eyes for you. This is the starting line, this is day one for the rest of your lives and I'm so happy we could be a part of it. I remember one of the first things Zach said to me. He said that he didn't feel as if anyone could leave a conversation with Kaitlyn without feeling like a million bucks. He couldn't have said it better. I hope you know Zach that the same goes for you. I wish you a life from this day forward full of happiness because that is exactly what you two deserve."
