I basically just laid in bed for two hours all alone watching HGTV. Caroline came in and wished me happy birthday. We talked for a little while about my brother.

"It's funny and depressing how they think I'm gonna have the best birthday ever by going out to the store for two house just to get me some presents I probably won't even use." I laughed to Caroline who was sitting in Austin's bed.

"Yeah, they probably should have thought a little more. They just want the best for you, though." Caroline smiled.

"The best for me would be being with them at least but I guess they would rather me be happy with materialistic things." I sighed.

"Well, birthdays are great. I know you've never experienced what a birthday party is like and stuff, but I promise you, it's fun." Caroline smiled.

Caroline is actually not as bad as I first thought she was. She is actually super kind and will actually talk to you.

It's been two hours since they left and I fell asleep while Caroline was over in her room showering.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KAITLYN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" I heard four voices sing.

I woke up immediately. Four voices?

"MARABELLE!" I screamed as I ran up to her.

"I thought I'd never see you again before Zach came to my door and asked me to come. Happy birthday! I love you!" Marabelle cried.

"I love you too." I kissed her forehead.

"Happy birthday, Kaitlyn." Austin side hugged me because the other hand was holding the cake.

"Happy birthday, to the prettiest, hottest girl in the world that I can call mine. I love you." Zach wrapped his arms around me.

"I love you too. Thank you for bringing Marabelle. She's really all I need." I wiped a tear from my eye.

"Your gonna be happy. I promise." Zach kissed me on the cheek.

"Yeah, well I wasn't happy when you left me alone here for two hours on my birthday when your trying to make this the best day ever. All I want are the people I love." I muttered as I sat back down on my bed.

There was silence for a couple seconds. I saw Zach and Austin looking at each other, shocked and regretful.

"I am SO sorry. I guess I didn't think about how it felt to you leaving you alone. I will try to make it up to y-" He tried saying before I interrupted.

"That's the thing. You can't make it up to me. 2 hours of my birthday. 2 hours of the day you want to make the best day ever. Well, maybe you had fun at the store, but I didn't have fun laying here in bed all alone." I stormed out of the room.

I walked downstairs and out the door. I started running. I didn't know where to, I just wanted to run, to get the anger out of me.

I ran to the mall down the street. I walked in and went to Dunkin Donuts to get a chocolate donut. I told them it was my birthday so I got a free one. They put a candle on it.

"Wait, I'm supposed to blow this out, right?" I asked the girl at the front desk.

"Have you never seen a candle before?" The girl asked.

"Never had a birthday before." I shrugged and walked to a table and sat down.

I blew out the candle and ate the donut. I got a call from Austin. I didn't answer. I texted Austin.

Kaitlyn:
After all this time of being alone, I'm actually being accustomed to it. This is what you did. You wanted to make this the best birthday ever? Mission failed.

I started crying into knees.

"Is everything OK?" The girl that was at the front counter asked as she pulled up a chair and sat down.

"Not really. When my boyfriend said he would give me the best birthday ever, I was actually starting to get excited. But he just left me alone for two hours to but some stupid presents I probably will end up throwing away. I just wanted to be with him. That was all I wanted." I cried.

"Sounds rough. How bout we go shopping? You look like a Hollister type of girl. Hollister?" The girl asked.

"You barely even know me though." I said quietly.

"It's your birthday. I need to get off this shift anyway. And, I don't think someone should spend their birthday alone. Come on. My name's Hayley by the way." The girl stood up, smiled, and held out her hand.

I grabbed it and got up.

"This should be fun." I smiled as we walked to Hollister.

Zach:
Come on, just give us a chance.

Kaitlyn:
You already had a chance. To make this the best birthday ever. Well, since you decided to be absent for most of my birthday already, I'm spending it with a random stranger who actually seems interested in my happiness.

After a whole three hours of shopping with Hayley, we sat down on a bench.

"You want to know the reason you didn't die yesterday when the witch stabbed you?" Hayley blurted out.

"How do you know about that?" I looked at her suspiciously.

"The reason you didn't die was because I'm a fairy. I knew you were going to run into the witch so I enchanted a counter curse on it. I'm your fairy godmother." Hayley smiled.

"WHAT!" I screamed.

"I know this is a lot of information. I came to this land just to save you. I figured I should stay to give you a birthday you will remember. I have to tood-a-loo though, there is a goblin war in my home land. Bye!" Hayley said before disappearing.

"What just happened." I whispered to myself repeatedly as I walked back to the hotel.
