I drove to Dunkin Donuts with Marabelle.

"I can get you a donut in here if you want." I suggested.

"I love donuts! My dad says where he came from they didn't have donuts. Isn't that terrible?" She yelled.

"Pretty terrible." I laughed.

We pulled into the parking lot and walked in.

"Oh, nice surprise to see you here again in the same day." Zach laughed as he saw us walk in the door. "Who's this?" He asked, pointing at Marabelle.

I explained to him about how we met her and where we need to go and why.

"Wait a second, so this girl is magical, and so are her parents? But her mother trapped her in a random pair of earbuds. And now you are asking me to come with you and your brother to find her father for her in New York." Zach said slowly.

"Yes. I know it sounds crazy but you gotta believe me. We can all contribute some of our money for the flight and stuff. We are leaving tomorrow." I explained.

"Ok. But, why are you asking me to come with you if we basically just met today?" He asked.

"Because I...trust you." I said as I looked away, blushing.

"I trust you too." I heard Zach say as I turned around.

He was smiling. Dang, he's so cute.

"Pack food, money, clothes, anything you think you might need. Meet me and my brother at the Joplin Regional Airport tomorrow morning at 6:00." I smiled as I walked Marabelle to the door.

"Wait, can Marabelle show me some magic before you go?" Zach asked.

"Ok!" She smiled and jumped up and down excitedly.

Pink dust burst out of her hand and instantly there was a red velvet cupcake in her hand.

"Here you go!" Marabelle walked up to Zach and gave him the cupcake.

"WOAH." Zach's eyes were wide as he took the cupcake and ate it. "It's even good too. That magic can sure come in handy." Zach nodded his head.

"I'm glad you like it! It's my specialty!" Marabelle smiled as she and I walked out the door.

"That was easy enough." I smiled at her as we both got in the car.
