Jack did something that Alice had not imagined he would do in a million years. He pulled her into a hug. It was warm. Shocked by his actions, she forgot about everything. Tears began spilling out. She started crying like a baby. None of it mattered, though. After all, this was the first time she had gotten to let all her feelings out.
"Are you done?" Jake said, turning back to his old personality.
"Well, I guess I just have to move on. They didn't let me live for nothing," Alice said, laughing.
