The Unexpected. [Secuel To The Unknown] {Eric FF}

Thirty One.

Morgan was walking hand in hand with Eric towards the infirmary for their 20th week check up.

Eric was over the moon excited for knowing the baby's gender, but he was more nervous by the fact that he would have to hide it, as per Morgan's wishes, she hadn't changed her mind.

That same day they had presented the last scores of the final phase of initiation, and had welcomed the new dauntless members. Morgan had counted up to seven good choices for new leaders, and by the end of their work day they had 11 leadership appliances.

Morgan was a little bit displeased though, the timing was off and now they were about to know the gender of the baby before having picked an unisex name.

"How about we do this" Eric proposed "we check up today, Anne can confirm the gender but will not tell us anything. We pick the name and when we have it I will come here and ask her by myself the gender. Just so I don't sway the picking today"

"That sounds good" Morgan lifted her eyes to his and smiled "don't you want to accompany me in the journey of the unknown?"

"Fuck no" he said, Morgan chuckled and held herself closer to him.

Eric and Morgan continued walking towards Anne's office, only having to wait a few minutes until she exited it.

"How are you two? Well... Three" she corrected as she closed the office door behind her "ready to know the gender?"

"No" Morgan said, Anne led then towards the sonogram room and frowned at her

"Why?"

"I want it to be a surprise, but Eric wants to know"

"Eric defenetly wants to know, but not yet. We haven't decided a name" Eric followed

"OK" Anne said, making sure she followed the plan Morgan and Eric had.

In the sonogram room and before she turned on th machine Anne touched Morgan's stomach, pressing her hands in different places

"Has it been moving?" She asked

"Yeah, we felt the first kicks three or four days ago"

"No more sickness or faintings? Are you working out?"

"Nope, and yes, I do prenatal yoga with another moms"

"Any contractions?"

"I don't think so... I don't know how they feel"

"Oh" she chuckled "believe you me, when you have a contraction you'll defenetly recognize it"

Morgan looked at Eric with a worried frown.

"But she's not supposed to have them"
"She's not, but they can still happen, it's the body preparing for labor, they're usually painless, but they can be quite uncomfortable. If she has four or more in the span of an hour she must come immediately to the infirmary. If not then you shouldn't worry is she has one or two from time to time"

"OK" Morgan said a bit more relieved "now hurry I want to see my baby"

Anne chuckled and began the procedure of putting Morgan some gel and turning on the machine.

"I can check for the gender in 2D and then move to the 4D sonogram how about that?"

"That's fine. I still don't wanna look though" Morgan covered her eyes with the palm of her hands. "Eric are you looking?"

"I am"

"Well stop that, you are not supposed to know yet ither"

"Baby do you think I know what I'm seeing right now? This is like an abstract painting"
