"Good morning" she said, Eric chuckled and roamed his hand around her back

"Excellent morning baby" he led his hands to her neck and massaged it softly "sleep ok?"

"Woke up ok" she smiled again and gave him one short kiss before slipping to his side, Eric didn't let her go that far. He pulled her to his side while his hand lazily roamed around her back.

They were about to drift to sleep for a while when the baby monitor perked up

Eric turned his head to the screen that had Aleks' camera feed pointing to the crib. He kissed Morgan on the forehead, then slid to the side, leaving her to rest.

He walked to Aleks' room, finding the little one standing on the crib, holding himself up with the rails. He bounced his little legs up and down while smiling at Eric.

Eric walked to him with a little smile himself and put his arms up to hold Aleks.

"Good morning buddy" Eric ruffled Aleks' hair and settled his clothes. It was getting cold out and Aleks was a messy sleeper.

Aleks' was a few weeks shy of a year, Eric couldn't believe how much he was enjoying being a parent now. Aleks understood a lot more, he was smart, fearless, funny. He was a happy kid, and that was all Eric wanted.

He took him to their bedroom and looked at Morgan, who was asleep on the bed.

He took a few towels a walked to the shower, taking out Aleks clothes while Aleks patted him on the cheek, his shadow always made him tickle.

He turned the shower on and walked inside, with Aleks still in arms. Morgan has done that once in the past and now Aleks always made a little fuss if he wasn't getting a shower with his dad.

Eric was soaping Aleks when the door opened.

Aleks' head turned to the door to see who had entered. He then looked at Eric

"It's mommy, call her" Aleks made a little jump when he heard his mom's mention "say mom"

Aleks mimicked the word mom, but only the consonant made it out. Even though he was getting fast in his feet every passing day, he didn't know how to talk just yet.

"What" Morgan replied with a sleepy voice.

Aleks moved more and looked at Eric with a happy face.

"Tell her to come in" Eric said loud enough for Morgan to hear him.

After a few seconds Morgan opened the glass door of the shower, making Aleks shriek in happiness. Morgan smiled at him and put a towel on her chest, Eric carefully handed him while Morgan covered him.

She closed the door to the shower and walked with Aleks to his bedroom, she place him down and change him as fast as she could. Aleks could roll around now, sit straight up, stand on his own, and walk holding himself up on something.
