Morgan's eyes snapped open.

Looking around, she was alone in the room. She sat straight, frowning at how her body didn't hurt at all. Not as much as she had imagined it would hurt.

She stood and walked to the bathroom, looking at herself she frowned, her face didn't look bruised at all.

Lifting her hospital gown she frowned even more, nothing on her skin had changed, she touched her ribs, not feeling anything out of the ordinary.

Eric.

Of course it had been Eric.

She carefully removed the neck brace, expecting to see it all purple, but the bruises that remained in it were as big as the ones Eric would usually leave when he bit into it.

She had been pregnant. For the past five weeks. How could she be so irresponsible.

Closing her eyes and opening the tap, she splashed water on her face.

She heard the door of the room being open, then fast footsteps approach the bathroom.

Eric looked wild, his whole body untensed when he saw her.

He took the short step that separated them and held her by the neck, tilting her head upwards to inspect her neck.

"I'm fine" she spoke, placing her hands on top of his to remove them from her neck. Eric could only smile at hearing her speak, then pushed his lips to hers tenderly.

He pulled back and reached for her hospital gown pulling it and inspecting her stomach.

"Are you sure? Nothing hurts?" He said looking up at her again and placing his hands back at her neck slowly, knowing that having hands around her neck would he the last thing she would want.

"My throat is a little parched" she said clearing it afterwards. Eric nodded and gave Morgan another kiss on the lips.

"I got you some clothes, I knew you would more than likely leave today" he took her by the hand and led her back to the hospital bed.

Morgan sat and pulled her legs up Indian style, Eric sat in front of her.

She looked up to the side and huffed smiling.

"You bought me flowers?" She said lifting her eyebrow at him.

He looked at the bouquet of flowers he had left in the side table when he walked in in a dash.

"That's what men do when they fuck up" he said smiling back.

Morgan's little smile changed to a frown, and she looked down at her hands.

Eric quickly took them and scooted closer to her.

"I'm sorry Morgan, I'm sorry I wasn't here when you needed me yesterday" he rubbed the back of her hands with his thumbs, then lifted both of her hands to kiss them "it was just hard for me to process that"

Both looked at each other at the same time, Eric's hands rested on her lap, still holding hers.

"Do you still love me?" She whispered at him.

Eric instantly scooted closer and held her, burying her face in the crook of his neck, Eric's arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her to make her sit on his lap.

"Of course I still love you Morgan" he rubbed her back up and down, then moved to hold her by the chin and make her look at him "there's nothing you can do to make me hate you at this point"

Morgan gave him the weakest smile she had, then her face hid again in his neck.

"And this isn't your fault, none of it. It's mine" he said
