Chapter 4:

"GRAYSON MOVE!" My brother shot up and ran to me. I had to set addy down when I stabbed the walker that bit mom. It was so hard to look at her. She barely even was herself anymore. I knew she wouldn't be coming back. There was nothing after game over. I grabbed my gun and hesitated a moment. "don't do it Anna!"Grayson said. "I'm.........I'm so sorry" ..........then "BOOM". The gunshot was really loud. My mother, or whatever she was, is gone forever. "MOM!"Grayson said. "You know that wasn't mom anymore right? Why do you have to be so stupid!" I say. I knew right when I said it I should've kept it to myself. "Grayson," I said but he walked away. "Grayson! You can't just leave! Especially in this situation!" He came back with his eyes still watery. I picked up addy and our bags. "Let's go," I said.It was just me, Addy, and Grayson. The Asian man must have heard the gunshot because he came out of the tower. I walked to the fence so I could make myself seen. Maybe he has a group. Maybe they can help us. A lady with short gray hair appeared from inside the building. This place had to be a prison, I mean, look at the fences! Soon after that another person came out. None of them saw me except for him. He looked at me and ran to the Asian guy. I walked up to the fence that was closer to them, with addy and Grayson by my side. They saw addy and came to the fence. "Who's baby is that?," the Asian guy said. "Um, my ..my moms. My sister. She's ....she's my little sister. And this is my brother. I looked at Grayson. I could see the 3 people clearly now. They were right there. "You've been out here on your own?"the Asian guy said. "Just since about an hour ago,"I said. "My mother, she was ........bit. By those things". The lady with gray hair started to speak. "She can stay with us..she's young and has children with her." She said to the Asian guy. I looked at the other person. He was a boy that looked my age. When Iooked at him, he was already looking at me. He quickly looked away. I had to admit, he was kinda cute. But I would never admit that to anyone. "Come in here, before they get you." The Asian said. "I'm Glenn, that's carol, and this is Carl."he said. I finally got his name. Carl.

I walked into the prison and they leaded me to the cell block. A man with brown hair was standing there. He looked like he ran this place. "Who's this?" He asks. "We were making sure nothing was bad outside until we heard a gunshot. Then we saw her, with these two little kids,"carol said. "She's gonna stay with us, be apart of our group," carl said. "Well hello then. I didn't get your name." He said. "I didn't get yours either," I said. I hope I didn't sound to harsh. "I'm Rick, the leader of this group." I knew it. "I'm Anna. This is my little sister Addy and my little brother Grayson." I said. More people came into the cell block. A girl with blonde hair was holding a baby in her arms. She looked at me and saw me looking at the baby. "Her name is Judith," she said. "I'm Beth,". I smiled at the baby and looked at addy. The baby looked about 1 year old. "She's cute," I said. "Oh she's not mine, she's Lori's." Beth says. "Who's Lori?"I ask. I look at carl and he put his head down. "Oh I'm so sorry Carl," I said. "It's .. It's okay you didn't know."he said. Two little girls came running in. "That's Mika, and that's Lizzie," Rick said. They looked about 10. I saw Grayson looking at Mika. I think he has a crush on her or something. Another girl comes into the room that reminds me of someone. My best friend, Emily. But she's gone now. I had no idea where she is. She looked at me. She wouldn't look away.
