Chapter 14 A long Night

Chapter 14;

It was almost sunset outside. I worry about the walkers and how they're crazy at night. Hopefully if we were quiet enough, the bus would be fine for the night. Beth slowly pulls the bus to a stop.

Beth- *quiet*

Me- what's wrong?

Beth- this place is so close to my old home. But...... It's - gone now.

Me- well I'm sorry to hear that .

~I tell the kids to make theirselves comfortable on the seats. The bus is surrounded by the brick walls except for where we entered. I wanted to find something to block that for the night. before dark.

Lizzie jumps on a seat.

Mika- Hey I wanted that one!

Lizzie- finders keepers,😉

Mika- Not fair!

Me- okay okay that's enough guys

Lizzie- 😒

Beth raps a rope around the door handles incase of anything.

Me- Whatever you do, do NOT open the doors. Do you guys hear me?

•I sounded like my mom•
Yikes.

All kids- Yes

Me- Good. Now make yourselves comfortable, it's gonna be a long night.

I walked over to Grayson who was holding Addy in his lap.

Me- I'll take her from here.

I didn't realize Addy was here. Maybe Carol dropped her off because he wanted to help Rick, And then Grayson picked her up.

Grayson was really growing up. The apocalypse changed him. Not necessarily in a bad way. Or a good way. He had to be about 9 now.

Tomorrow was my birthday. June 27th, 2014. That was the date tomorrow. It felt weird not having my mom here and not being excited for my birthday for once. What was there to look forward to? Not a miracle, that's for sure.
I looked over to Beth who was on a seat holding Judy. I saw when tyreese gave her to Beth. Tyreese is still back at the prison, with the others. Or atleast I hope their all there and alive.

I look around making sure everyone was here. Ofcourse, not everyone. Someone was always missing. Missing from our "family". I think about him and then close my eyes. This is gonna be a long night.
