The Apocalypse

Chapter 6

Chapter 6:

A few weeks went by and I was more than comfortable at the prison. A few days ago my brother told me he was scared of Michonne. I can see why you would get that as a first impression on her. But, she is the most sweetest and most kindest person you'll ever meet. She loves addy. And I think addy loves her too. But anyways, back to today. I got up out of bed and walked out of my cell. Everyone was having breakfast in the "living room". We call it that because it's the place where we eat and "hangout". It's really the place where we feel like it's okay to not be on alert every second.

I walk into the room and spot Carl. He's sitting next to Beth and Herschel. Beth is a really good singer. Way better than me. Probably better than all of us put together. "Hey look who's awake," Rick says. Carl gives a little laugh but then acts like he never laughed. I smile at him but he doesn't see me but everyone else does. My face sorta looked like this > 😬. I was afraid if they found out I like him. I hope it isn't obvious. Emily walked in the room and sat down next to Herschel. "Hey Anna," she said. "Hey Emily,"I said. It didn't take me long to find out she was obsessed with one direction. And I mean OBSESSED. To a point where she threatened Carl that she would give him to the walkers if he said anything bad about them. It was really funny though how easy it was to get rid of her. All you had to do was say "LOOK ONE DIRECTION" and she was gone. 😂)

I also learned more about this bad guy rick was talking about. Apparently he killed a few of our people. I thought of my dad. He shouldn't of died so soon. He was only fighting for our country. If I got anywhere close to this guy I would kill him. I wouldn't hesitate.

Carl also told me it wasn't that easy. He was very tricky to kill. It was almost like there was something about him that never gets him killed. "Maybe the walkers have a crush on him or something," I said to Carl. "He killed Daryl's brother. He also killed Andrea, someone who has been with our group for a long time. He's a very horrible person Anna, don't ever get close to him." Carl had a serious looking face. I looked at him and said, "okay I won't," and walked out of the room.

The next day, I went outside on duty with Carl. We had to stab the walkers by the fence so it wouldn't break. It started to bend so he ran and got Maggie. One by one I stabbed them in the brain. If they even had one. Carl and Maggie came running back with their sticks. It helped a lot with Maggie there. "I think were gonna need a bigger stick," Maggie said. I laughed. I liked maggie a lot. She was like a bigger sister to me that I never had even though I always wanted one. Carl looked at me as I stabbed another one. Then he smiled. I smiled back.

A few minutes later, we got all of the walkers. "Finally," Maggie said. "How bout it,"I said. Carls eyes shot towards something by the trees. "What is it?"I said. I looked over where he was looking. A man was standing there with a bunch if other people. "Maggie, Anna, get down." He said. Maggie looked and knew what was wrong. I had no idea. Carl grabbed my hand and ran sneaky-like past the fence. "What's happening? Carl tell me!" I said. "Shhhhh!"he said. Maggie was right infront of us. I heard a gunshot. Carl shot to the ground and pulled me down. He covered my mouth with his hands. "Shhh don't make yourself seen," he said. My heart started beating faster. "We need to get your dad," I said. Carl didn't listen. "I don't want you shot! Just stop talking!"he said. I could faintly see the man. He had a tank. And an eyepatch.
