37. Sunsets

You know why lovers love the sunset?
Because it means another day has passed;
A day that consisted of lots of memories together.
Sunsets for them are symbol of passing and failing.
They pass if they were able to conquer their love test together,
They fail if only one of them fought for the other.

You know why the sick and the dying want to watch the sunset?
Because it looks peaceful and calm;
It gives their soul some sort of healing.
Sunset for them is just naturally refreshing.
It makes them feel calm inside their minds and hearts.
It makes them hope for a healing on the outside.

You know why the elders are determined to see the sun set?
Because it's their way of counting their age.
It makes them aware of how long they've lived.
Sunsets for them are time machines;
it brings back their memories of their teenage days.
It leads them to see what could be there the next day.

You know why I love sunsets?
Because it makes me look forward to tomorrow.
It gives me hope to a better me...

and you.

Sunset for me is like a morning dew.
I know it would be gone after some time...
But it would always be there until the end of time.
