"I'm going to need you to be cool," Train pleaded with Tamel as Tamel eased the car into the parking lot of the destination they was given.
The place was an old flimsy motel that Tamel remembered taking some of female conquests to when he was just starting to get into the hustle game and ladies were starting to like his swagger.
It was a place that didn't ask questions or identification. If you had the money, the clerk at the desk didn't care who you was or what you came to do, just as long as you were out by check-out time.
"I'm good," Tamel said shutting off the engine. "It's your girl you should be worrying about. You do know she did tried to kill us."
"I mean technically she tried to kill you," Train corrected. "But hey, you still here. You still breathing that got to count for something."
"Yeah, it was meant for me to get my revenge," Tamel stated.
"Well, let's just hear her out first, then you can do whatever twisted plan you got going on in your head," Train sighed.
"That's abet, I'll wait," Tamel promised. "But if I don't like what the bitch is saying, she do anything funny or I think she about to make a reenactment of what happened at the Palace, I'm putting one in her face."
Train nodded. "Yeah, yeah, one in her face. I heard the speech. Let's go."
Tamel got of the car and Train got out from the backseat.
"She told you what room she is in?" Tamel asked looking around.
"Yeah," Train replied.
"This better not be a set-up," Tamel said.
"Stop being paranoid," Train remarked. "You acting like an old lady. All you need is pearls and a hip replacement. Just shut the fuck up and let's get this over with."
Tamel didn't say anything and Train started walking towards the motel.
Train walked to the door that had the numbers 204 on it and knocked.
Tamel kept looking behind him in case someone might try to creep up on them. Tamel did not trust Charmaine at all and he wished Train was on the same page as him when it came to that lady. Charmaine had tried numerous of times to end Tamel's life being the first time at the strip club establishment he owned. Tamel knew Charmaine would have no problem trying to come after him again. Tamel just wished Train would say that.
But Tamel had to admit this was the first time he ever seen Train act like this over a female. Usually Train was so nonchalant about females and couldn't care less about one but with this girl, Train had his nose wide open. Tamel just hoped Train wasn't so far gone, he couldn't see the writings in the wall when it came to how dangerous this woman was becoming.
Train heard shuffle behind the door. Tamel felt for his pistol in his back waistline. Tamel was ready for anything.
Train stepped back as the door opened and Charmaine stood there with a wide grin.
"Train," She said as she hugged him almost knocking him off balance.
Train retuned the hug but looked sideways at Tamel. Tamel just shook his head.
Charmaine stepped back from her embrace of Train and looked at Tamel. She saw the snare look on his face.
"I know what you want to do to me," Charmaine informed. "I'm not going to lie. It would be justified but I think we both can agree we been through enough shit and take it at face value."
