Ashley's POV
As Beth and I watch vampire diaries in her room she starts to doze off. I decide to let her rest and walk downstairs to get a drink. As I look through the fridge Josh walks in.
"Hey" He says
"Hey" I say
"How is she?"
"Well she's holding up" I say taking out the orange juice "I just think that if she keeps holding it all then one day she's going to explode everyone can only take so much you know"
"Yeah" He says with a tight smile looking into my eyes
I instantly look away and continue to get a glass and pour the juice. I take a drink from the glass and turn to face Josh who is staring at me intently.
"You know I can't imagine what she's been through" He says "And if I'm being honest I feel kind of guilty"
"Why?" I ask
"Because when I found out about everything I ignored her for weeks. I'm her big brother I'm supposed to be there for her and I haven't" He says looking down. "Even now. She had a miscarriage and all I did was hug her in the hospital. Ever since she's been home I haven't really talked to her because she shut everyone out besides you"
"Because she feels like she let all of you down. I know she won't say it but it's true." I say taking a drink from my glass
I notice Josh's eyes flick to my lips before going back to my eyes. I choke on the juice and he comes over and pats my back to help me.
"I'm fine" I cough
"You sure?" He asks
"Yea" I say once I catch my breath "Thanks"
"No problem Ash" He says smiling
"Since when did you call me that?" I ask
"Since now" He smirks
God he's hot
Wait... Did I just think that?
Yes you did
No I couldn't have this is Josh we are talking about.
Yes Josh, The hottie in front of you with the bright green eyes with the perfect lips
Shut up
"I didn't say anything" Josh says looking confused
"Did I say that out loud?" I ask
"Yeah" He laughs
"Oops?" I awkwardly laugh
"Well I should go I have to go meet Blake. He wants to talk to me most likely about Beth" He smiles
"Ok" I smile "See you later?"
"Yeah" He smiles before leaving
I watch his retreating back as he walks out the door. Once he's out the door I blush heavily and smile to myself. Maybe he's changed after all. But I can't forget about Beth and how much she's hurting right now.
I sigh and finish my glass of juice before making her a sandwich. I walk upstairs and shake her awake.
"What?" She asks
"I made you a sandwich" I say sitting it down "You need to eat I know you haven't ate all day"
"I'm not hungry" She tries to lie
"Quit with the bullshit Beth we both know you're hungry just eat the damn sandwich" I state
"Why are you doing this?" She asks
