The Wrong Date

So I guess I'm on a friendly-date with Carl!

I still wished I could have seen Enid but I'm glad he came and found me before anyone else did. It was just hard for me to understand why she hadn't come, I mean she seemed excited about meeting me yesterday. Maybe she just got caught up with something.

Carl: "Haha, I still need an answer! I mean a hug could mean yes but I'd prefer to hear it from you!"

While smiling to myself I grabbed the food from the ground and wrapped it back up.

You: "Yes, Carl Grimes, I'll go on a date with you but after this I don't owe you anymore!"
Carl: "You must be crazy! Any girl would jump at the chance to go on a date with me!!"

He laughed at his self loathing sense of humour.

You: "Well I guess I'm not 'any girl' then!"

I smirked at him and he looked proud of my co-operation.

Carl: "Well!! Ten Points to Griffindor!"
You: "As a matter of fact I'm Ravenclaw thank you very much!"
Carl: "Ten points taken from Ravenclaw, you shouldn't talk back to your elders!"

We both joined in laughter while I rolled my eyes, I'm pretty sure he hasn't even watch Harry Potter before!

I stood up sheepishly while holding the food Carol had given to me. I struggled trying to keep it from falling everywhere. Carl must have seen me struggling because he grabbed it from me and held out his other hand.

You: "Okay, I may be going on a date with you but I'm not holding your hand, it's just as friends remember."
Carl: "Didn't your parents ever teach you to hold someone's hand when crossing the road?"

I glared at him and folded my arms.

You: "Yeah, they also told me to never play with guns and just look where I am now!!"

I took a gun from my belt and waved it in the air taunting Carl.

Carl: "Okay, okay, just put that away I don't want to be killed!!"

I smirked to myself while putting the gun back into its holster. As I began to follow Carl I realised how cold I actually was. I wanted to just go back and fall to sleep but I really did owe Carl.

Carl: "I know your like not into this at all but could you at least smile? I feel like I'm forcing you into this!"
You: "Well, you basically are!"

I was just joking with him but he looked kind of hurt when I said it. He moved some hair from his eyes.

Carl: "Yeah okay, I'll just walk you back home..."
You: "Hey cheer up, I was just kidding I think it could be fun to go on a date with you!"

He stoped walking and turn facing me for a brief amount of time.

Carl: "See this is my point, you say 'fun' as though it's some kind of school trip or bullshit like that. I'm a person you know I wanted to make you happy! I've done way more for you than Enid ever has I just don't understand what you see in her!!"
