Finally Some Time

[AN], Hey! So I'm sorry I don't update as often as I used to, I've been pretty busy the past few days and I've been putting off writing all together, I still really enjoy writing this fanfiction but I usually don't have an extreme urge to post. I kind of had an idea to help with writing and interaction with you readers! I'm not really sure if I'm going to do it (because I'm not sure how many people would actually enjoy it) but if I were to do a live stream maybe twice a week would anyone be interested in actually watching? (If so let me know what steaming platform would be easier of you.) Please please let me know as I personally like the idea! Anyway enjoy reading this chapter!

Enid: "Hey you! That was quicker than expected!"

I smiled and hugged Enid, I could feel the sun burning across my back.

You: "I know right! I expected to have to go on a raid or something!"
Enid: "Well thank god you don't because I have something cool to show you!"
You: "I'm very invested in this surprise now... I hope it's a puppy!"

Enid rolled her eyes and laughed.

Enid: "Okay, now it's going to seem crap compared to a puppy!"
You: "So it's not a puppy?"

I made a pouty face and began to quiver my bottom lip.

Enid: "Oh stop it!"

I carried on pouting causing Enid to punch me in my shoulder.

You: "Hey, no fair you can't hit me!"
Enid: "Yeahhh? Who's gonna stop me?"

I grabbed her hands and stood closer to her placing my lips practically on hers.
She looked down at my mouth and leaned in closer to kiss me.
I pulled back avoiding her kiss.

Enid: "Oh... I see how it is!"
You: "Apologise... or no more kisses ever again."
Enid: "Ah... Just as I was starting to get attached and everything!"
You: "Seriously! You are so bloody difficult to manipulate!"
Enid: "I guess so... but you wouldn't have it any other way!"

Now that she knew she clearly won for her side of the agreement as pressed her lips against mine.

It was the best kiss I had ever had experienced and I savoured every movement her mouth made. Before I knew what I was doing I pushed my tongue towards her lips.
As I waited for entrance to her mouth I felt my body being pushed away from hers.

Enid looked down and placed a hand on her face.

You: "Wh... what's wrong?"
Enid: "I... I'm just not really ready to take things any quicker at the moment. I'm really starting to enjoy dating you but... but I'd rather just take things slow if that's okay with you."

I walked up to her again and took hold of the hand that was pushing her hair back.

You: "I understand, anything you want I will do. I want this to work out for us, I truly do."
Enid: "I'm glad you're okay with it."
You: "Of course I'm okay with it, it's what you want and I'm perfectly okay with that."

She gave me a small kiss on my forehead and decided to change the subject.

Enid: "So umm... I have something I'd like to ask you..."

I jumped inside with excitement.

You: "Oh umm.. ask away!"
Enid: "So there is this kind of party thing going on and Rick asked me to tell you about it but I wanted to wait till we were alone..."
You: "Ah yeah, Rick mentioned something about at party."
Enid: "Good haha! That saves me all the explaining!"

I laughed and she sat on the grass pulling me to down to sit next to her.

Enid: "Well I was wondering like umm... you know that we can't go together incase people get the wrong... well the right idea."
You: "Haha yeah, I get you."
Enid: "I just thought maybe after the party... we could meet here alone and have a dance of our own?"

I smiled and fiddled a flower between my fingers.

You: "That sounds like a wonderful idea!"
Enid: "So its final then! Don't forget though haha I don't know what I would do if you didn't come!"
You: "I assure you, I'll be there!"

I kissed Enid's head and we went our separate ways.

I thought I'd go look for Carol as I hadn't seen her in so long, maybe she needed help with something.

I began to walk back to the house, it's seemed like the first time in so long that I actually had time to do something I wanted to.

Abraham: "Hey! [Y/N]"
You: "Oh! Hey Abraham."
Abraham: "I'm guessing everything is alright now?"
You: "Well I mean we are in a world full of infected people, we could die at literally any moment but aside from that, yeah I'd say I'm doing pretty well."

Abraham gave a warm laugh.
It was the first time you had seen him happy in a while.

Abraham: "You're a lot more sassy than I remember!"
You: "I guess that's what the ever lasting fear of death does to you!"
Abraham: "Well I'll take it you didn't come here to talk to me! Who you looking for?"
You: "Oh that's where you can help me, do you know where Carol is?"
Abraham: "Mmm id say it's best looking in Jessie's kitchen I think she's looking after her son."
You: "Ah! Okay haha, I guess I better scoot then."

I started walking away then realised I had something else to say.

You: "Oh and thank you for the other day Abraham, it really helped."
Abraham: "Yeah, don't mention it! Just wanted to make sure you were okay."
You: "Well thank you, I'll let you go now though. Bye Abraham!"
Abraham: "See you later [Y/N]!"

As I began to make my way to Jessie's house trying to remember how I got there my first day here.

I got lost a little but I made it there eventually.

I walked up to the front door and knocked trying not to make too much noise.

The door swung open slowly.

Jessie: "Oh hey! Umm... sorry I've completely forgotten your na..."
You: "[Y/N], is Carol here?"

Jessie looked a little flustered turned to quickly face behind her then straight back at me.

Jessie: "I was just about to leave but yeah Carol is here she's just in the kitchen, what did you want?"

Although I was slightly confused by how direct and rude Jessie was acting I just simply brushed it off.

You: "Well I was wondering if I could see her, like if it's okay with you of course."
Jessie: "As much as I'd like you to have a catch up session in my kitchen you can't, now I've gotta go so if you'd mind moving."

I just looked at Jessie for a few seconds before simply moving out of her way so she could leave.
I hated when adults acted rude for no reason and I was really hurts as she was so sweet a few days ago.
Maybe she was just having a bad day...
Nothing to get too bothered about.
