Patrick's Pov

I actually had a good sleep last night. Most of last night I was taking a long time memorizing my lines, but after that I went to bed. But I really needed to Jillian. I've learned how to tell when she's lying. She looks anywhere but at me and madly scratches her scalp.

I go downstairs and make pancakes for everyone. Not thinking, I get a little too close to the pan and burn my hand. "OW." I scream, suddenly worried that I woke up the kids. Jill runs downstairs next looking concerned. "Patrick, are you okay?" She asks me. "Y-yes, I think so." I say wincing in pain. "Can I see it?" She asks. I slowly give her my hand, wincing as she touches it. "Patrick, this looks really painful." She says. "it is." I say. "We really should get this checked out" She says looking concerned. "Please don't touch it, it's really painful. But Jillian, I really do have to  talk to you." I say wincing in pain. "I'm pregnant." She says suddenly. "But we haven't - " I begin to say but she cut me off. "Listen Patrick, it's not yours." She says. "So you've been cheating on me?" I ask already pissed. She doesn't say anything, she just madly scratches her scalp. "I ASKED YOU A QUESTION. ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME?!" I scream question. "Yes with this guy named Kyle." She says simply. "HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON?!"I question scream. "A year." She says calmly. "FUCK , JILLIAN, WE'RE DONE. I WANT A DIVORCE!!" I scream. FINE! BUT  IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT  YOU CAN'T READ, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I GOT MARRIED TO SUCH A STUPID PERSON!" She shouts and slaps my cheek hard.  and drive the kids to school, after that, I drive to Prospect Studios and on my way to Ellen and I's trailer, a tear slipped down my face.

'No stop it Patrick, you can't be like this!  You have to be strong. You can't cry, only weak people cry! Do you want Ellen, the girl you like to see you come in crying? Pretty embarrassing right?'

I think to myself. I wipe the tear away. I walk inside Ellen and I's trailer and sit down on the couch thinking about the fight Jillian and I had this morning. I remember her slapping me with such force, so hard it felt like she threw a brick at me. Both my cheek and burnt hand hurt like hell, but when she said that I was stupid, that hit a soft spot for me, it really hurt my feelings. But when she said that she was pregnant with another guy, that really killed me. "Hey, Patrick? Patrick are you okay?" Ellen asked me quietly. "Yes, I'm fine." I say. "No you're not, you're crying. What's wrong? Is it me?" She asks concern written all over her face.

"No, No El it's not you. J-Jill and I had a fight, a big one. She-she-she's cheating on me, and is pregnant with another guy. She said that she can't even believe that she married me because I'm so stupid, but that's not my fault. I was just born with dyslexia. She slapped me on the cheek and left. I left the house devestated. I took the kids to school and drove here." I say. "I'm sorry Pad-oh my god! What happened to your hand!" She says shocked. "I burned it this morning, making pancakes for everyone. My hand slipped into the pan, and landed right on the center of the burning pan." I explain. "Can I see it?" She asks me. I slowly give her my hand, wincing as she touches it. "Patrick, this is a second degree burn, we have to go check it out. We'll do it after work okay?" She says. I nod happy I'm not going with Jillian, but with my beautiful crush.

I'm over the moon pissed at Jillian.

Five hours later. . .

Work finishes and both Ellen and I go to the walk-in clinic. We're finally first in line. "Hello, you're here with your husband today?" The lady at the front desk asks. I read her tag, and her name is Ashley Greene. "Oh he's not my husba- or you know what? it doesn't matter." Ellen says. "You can go sit in the waiting room and a doctor will be right with you." Ashley says. "Thanks" Ellen says. I just stand here like a lunatic in emense pain. Five minutes later people start to leave, and suddenly I'm worried that we'll never see the doctor. "Dempsey?" A shy looking doctor called out. "Yes?" I ask. "Follow me." He says. Ellen and I follow the skinny short brown hairedman. Finnaly we stop at a small patients room. "Okay, so you burned your hand while cooking, can I please see it?" He asks me. I slowly give him my seriously burned hand and wincing as he touches it. "this is a second degree burn, I can give you some medicine for the pain, I'll wrap it up and you can't touch anything with this hand okay?" He says. "Wait, What about driving?" You'll have to get a ride." I look at Ellen. "Patrick, don't worry, I'll pick you up." She says. He gives me the medication and then we leave.

"Well, that wasn't so bad." Ellen says. She drives me home and I get out of the car. "Listen Ellen, thanks for the ride, I know I owe you a lot." I say. "No Paddy, you don't owe me anything, I'll pick you up tomorrow morning at, let's say seven." She says. "Thank you El, so much." I say. She drives away, back to her house. I open the door, insantly trapped in hugs by the kids. "Guys, carful, don't touch my hand. "We're sorry daddy, we just missed you. What happened to your hand anyways?" Tallulah asks me. "I burned it, cooking pancakes this morning." I say. "Oh, is that why you screamed in the morning? " Sullivan asked. "Yes sweetie. Daddy hurt himself a lot." I say. "What daddy, what about that huge scratch on your cheek? Where'd you get that from?" Darby asks. I didn't want to tell them that Jillian and I fought, so I just told them I white lie. "Guys, I got this giant scratch from the basement, it was dark and I couldn't see. I fell down and hurt my cheek. They nodded understanding the story. "Now go get ready for bed and I'll go kiss you goodnight." I say. They run upstairs and run into their own rooms. I go upstairs and take some of the medication I got earlier today. I go into the twins room and kissed each of them goodnight. I go into Tallulah'sroom and kiss her goodnight and sleep on the couch. I don't want to sleep with Jillian, she doesn't love me. I closed my eyes and drift away.
