A week later. . .

Patrick's Pov

I am getting discharged today, after being in the hospital. But the problem is that even after Ellen declared that we are on a "break" I still see her, and I have to find it in myself to forgive her. But I believed it when she said those five words to me that pulled at my heart strings. Feeling strongly about what she said, I repeated those words back to her. Even though we might not be together now, we're still friends. We're like love magnets, we can't get away from one another.

But anyway, I'm happy to be back home and see my kids again. I haven't seen them in a while.They've been staying at Jill and Kyle's place until I was better. But today I get to pick them up and spend time with them. For Ellen and I though, we decided that it would be best if we spent some time away from each other to cool off.

From the hospital, I get into my Porche and drive to Jill and Kyle's place. I knock on the door and Kyle opens it .

"Hey man." He says.

I'm still super pissed at him for being the guy who Jill cheated on me with, but I try not to show it.

Jillian walks to the door next. "Hello Patrick." She turns around and calls the kids.

They come running down the stairs. They're faces light up when they see me, No suprise there.

"Daddy! " Tallulah shouts. The twins follow racing over towards me. Once they get their shoes on, Jillian kisses them goodbye and we hop into my Porche.

We drive home and I sit on the couch, trying to clear my mind.

"Daddy, when are we going to see Ellen again?" Darby asks. "Listen buddy, we aren't going to see her for a while." I say. "Why not? Did you guys break up?" Tallulah asks joining the conversation.
"No Tal, we didn't break up, we're on a break." I say. "But what about Stella?" Sullivan asks looking disappointed.

I actually don't know what to say about that. I knew that Sullivan was Stella's "boyfriend" and I never want to disappoint my family, and he was so attached to Stella, like Ellen and I used to be. But I'm not so sure if we're ever going to be the same again, but maybe, for my kids sake, I could try to forgive her.

"It's complicated Sullivan. But maybe, I'll call Ellen, and ask her to bring Sienna and Stella to work tomorrow, and you guys can come too, and play." I say hoping that Ellen would be okay with it.

"Thank you daddy." Sullivan says and hugs me.

"Now enough about me, did you have fun with mommy and Kyle?" I ask.

"Yeah, Kyle's actually pretty cool, he helped me and Sully practice for soccer." Darby says.

"Yeah, and Kyle watched Criminal Minds with me, we had a fight about who is the best character, but over all, we decided that it was Spencer Reid." Tallulah says.

I feel a pint of jealousy in my stomach, but Tallulah speaks my mind.

"Don't worry daddy, Kyle's never going to be as amazing as you are." She says.

She hugs me tightly, only reaching my legs because she's not that tall.

"Now, what do you say we go swimming in the pool?" I suggest.

Tallulah runs inside to get her bathing suit on and Sullivan and Darby follow.

5 minutes later. . .

Tallulah runs out of the house with a bikini on, and both Sullivan and Darby with swim trunks on.

Tallulah already knows how to swim, but I put a life jacket on her anyway.

She looks at me with disbelief. "Daddy, I already know how to swim!" She protests. "It's just for your safety Tal, it's not just you, both of your brothers have to wear one too." I say. She gives up and lets me put it on her. After that, she jumps into the pool making me all wet.

"Sully, Darby your turn." I say. They come over to me, not sure what is going on. I manage to get them both into life jackets and climb down the ladder into the pool. I swim over to the twins.

"Daddy, catch me!" Sullivan shouts. "Catch me too!" Darby shouts. Sullivan jumps and I manage to catch him as he lands in my arms making a big splash. "My turn!" Darby says happily. He jumps and holds his legs, making a cannonball. I manage to catch him, but not very well.

An hour later, the water started getting cold and we went into the house. I dry myself off and go change along with the kids. After that, I make them some hot chocolate, and myself a coffee. They come into the kitchen five minutes later and I hand them there hot chocolate.

"Thank you Daddy." Tallulah says.

I look at my insanely cute children drinking their hot chocolate, it sucks that I have to go to work tomorrow, but I'm bringing my children with me. I haven't contacted Ellen yet and to be honest, I'm actually pretty afraid to. She broke my heart, but I'll do it for the kids sake.

Two hours later. . .

I get everything cleaned up and done, and after that I take my phone out of my pocket not sure how this was going to go. Before I can think, I dial Ellen's number and put the phone up to my ear with shaking hands.

Ellen : Hello? Who is this?

Patrick : Ellen, it's-its Patrick.

Ellen : Uh , what's up Patrick? I'm sorry about what I did, and I will do anything in my power to make it up to you, and let us be friends again.

Patrick : Ellen, I haven't forgiven you yet, if that's what you're wondering. But I'm just calling because Sullivan wants to see Stella.

Ellen : Okay, Stella and Sienna will come to set.

Patrick : Thank you El.

Ellen : No problem Patrick. I'll see you in a day.

Patrick : I've got to go, I'll see you later. Bye.

I drop my phone on the table and find Sullivan. "Sully, Stella and Sienna are going to be at set with Ellen tomorrow, and you, your brother and sister are coming too. Can you tell them what's going on please?" I ask Sullivan nicely. He nods and runs off to tells Darby and Tallulah what's going on.

I feel really nervous and afraid to go to work tomorrow and see Ellen, the woman who broke my heart. I'm planning to avoid her, but it's going to be difficult, since we have some scenes together, but we also share a trailer together, this is going to be impossible.
