I yawned as I wore my apron, at nagulat naman ako dahil bigla akong kiniliti ni ate May. "Kisses, bad mood ata si Christian." Sabi nito pagkatapos nya magserve ng isang order.

"Oo nga eh, kanina pa sya tahimik." I remarked as I yawn ulit. "At ikaw mukhang puyat? Ano ba kasing nangyari nawala ka na lang bigla eh ang paalam ni Ed maguusap lang kayo."sabi nya habang nakapamewang.

"Ano ba kasi? Kwento mo na." Sabi nya sabay angat baba ng kilay nya. "Eh kasi ano." I said not meeting her eyes. Should I tell her ba? Kasi naman, baka mamaya naman kasi husgahan nya ako or si Ed. Baka magalit sya at 'wag na ako patuluyin sa supposedly na date namin ni Ed.

"Basta bukas ate ng gabi, sleepover tayo." Sabi ko sabay kindat. Pero sa totoo lang, di ko alam kung anong dapat kong sabihin. After all, I am just needed as a replacement. Rather, a fake date.

Hay. Napabuntong hiniga na lang ako nung lumaki yung ngiti ni ate May at inasar ako kay Ed. Speaking of him, hindi pa sya nagpapakita ngayon dito sa cafè.

Baka naman kasi nagpeprepare sya for tonight, and regarding that sabi nya susunduin nya ako by 7 pm sa unit ko. Di ko alam kung bakit maaga and hindi ko din alam kung anong klase ng damit dapat kong suotin.

Ughh. Oo nga pala, bakit ba di ko tinanong?

But I brushed such thoughts aside, kailangan ko na muna magfocus sa trabaho ko. Mamaya pa naman ako dapat magalala regarding sa supposed date namin.

Mamaya mo na isipin si Ed, okay? I chanted to myself and on went the day without a hitch.

Pasara na kami ng cafè and nakalock na din yung front door nang biglang may narinig kaming kumakatok.

We turned our heads and saw Ed from the glass doors. He was smiling widely.

Wait. I looked at my wristwatch and saw na quarter to 7 pa lang. "Kisses." Sabi ni Fenech na kinikilig, "Yiee dyan na yung sundo." Dagdag pa ni ate May sabay tawa. And nakita ko si Christian na umiling.

"Nako. Kayo talagang dalawa. Una na ako." Paalam ko. Nakom kung alam nyo lang talaga. I'm just gonna enjoy this one night then tapos na.
"Hey." He said. Looking all cute sa damit nya, he looks really cute on his cargo shorts and red shirt. "You look so casual." I remarked reflecting his toothy smile.

"Well if we are gonna wear such outfits tonight, we are very underdressed." He said as he took my hand and once more ran for his car.

Why are we gonna be underdressed? I mean we look pretty good. I thought as I looked at myself in my black pants and white collared shirt.

"Well that is why I came here a bit earlier because we'd both need to find ourselves a polished look." He said as we drove into the busy city once more.

"So there is a dress code in our date?" I said making a joke. But instead of laughing he nodded seriously. "Why?" I asked totally confused of where this night is gonna head to.

"Just go with the flow Kisses, and you'll do just fine." He said as he looked at me and gave me his warmest smile.

The last time I went with the flow I ended up kissing him. Oh. Can someone at least wish me luck?
