               Chapter 2

Monday came faster than I thought. The weekend flew by fast. Mason and I stayed home while my mom went to work. The last time my life was like hell was the month I was turning thirteen. My dad kicked my mom, Aaron, Mason, and me out of our house for his parents and new wife. Tami never existed back then and I was happy she didn't, her childhood would have been hard. We all moved into a house with no basement and only had two bedrooms. Mom and Aaron shared a room while Mason and I shared another. By then Aaron convinced mom to let us move to Los Angeles so I could be famous. Eventually, I did. We helped mom and Mason move out of that house to  this house. A new life began for us. Aaron and I stayed for a month then headed back to L.A., Mason tagged along with us. He stayed for a week or two then came back here. Soon Tami came into the picture.

"Dani, you ready? We got to get to school!" Mason yelled through the door.

"Yeah let's go." I say when I open the for. He leaned against the wall and looked at me. His eyes stalked down my body then up to my eyes. I wore a black crop top, black jean shorts, and my black high top Converses. "Mason..." He snapped out of it and came back to reality.

"C'mon." he said turning around and headed to his car. We got in his car and drove to school in silence. Once we arrived to school, we got out and every eye was on us.

"Yo, Mason, who's that?" said a guy with dark brown hair that almost covered his blue-green eyes. He came up on the other side of Mason.

"Dani, this is my friend Mat, Mat this is my friend Dani." Mason informed us. He looked at me to see how I'd react. When we meet, Mason had no friends. I was his first friend.

"So you're the fantastic, amazing, cool Dani?" he said nodding his at me. Mason started blushing a bright red.

"Aw, Mason, you said that about me? Thanks." I said messing with him. Mat and I started laughing our assess off.

"Your welcome." Mason shot back. We all laughed our assess all the way to the school building and in. People stared at us like we were crazy, that only made us laugh more.

"Man, I know I can hang with you, Dani." Mat said to me as he sobered up. He draped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me close to him. I looked at Mason to see his reaction, he looked okay with it. Mat and I walked down the hall like morons.

"Here, Dani." Mason said to me showing me my locker. I pulled away from Mat and went to my locker. I put in the combination and opened it easily. I already had my books in it and grabbed them. The guys waited for me till I finished.

"Hey look who it is. It's little Mason and Mat." said a voice that was full of evil. I  turned around to see who it was and saw two guys. One was tall, had bright blue eyes, and blonde hair that had dark roots. The other had dark hair brown hair and bright blue eyes like the blonde. They started beating the guys up.

"Yo, Bitches, leave them the hell alone!" I yelled. They all looked at me. So did everyone else.

"Oh yeah. Ya gonna make me?" said the a blonde. He pushed me up against the lockers.

"Rule number one: Don't mess with me and my friends." I say punching him in the jaw. He hit the ground from the impact on his face.

"JJ, you okay?" asked the one with dark hair. JJ nodded 'yes' with his head as he groaned in pain. "Now you're a target too, Girly." he said to me.

"Bring it on, Tough Guy." I say to him.

He comes at me like a bull on a rampage. I moved out of his, in one swift move, at the last second. He slammed in into one of the metal lockers. As he hit it, a loud bang sound echoes  through the halls. He feel to the ground clucking his head.
