                    Chapter 3

I woke up the next morning to a banging sound on my door. Mason kept yelling and banging on it. What the fuck is wrong with him?

"Dani! Wake up! C'Mon open up!" he screamed through the door. I got up and opened it.

"I thought it was 'waffle up'." I said trying not to laugh my ass off. He looked at me with an expression that said 'Oh god! You remember that? I hate myself' and again I tried not to laugh.

"Just go get ready." he huffed, walking a away from me. I laughed at that. I love when he's like that, and love messing with him. I can remember why I fell in love him.

I got ready in split time. Mason was waiting for me outside thinking he could scare me when I got out. I wore a seductive outfit. My black, low cut tank top showed off my black, heart shaped necklace, big breasts, and stuck to my body. My black, Cuban jeans stuck tight to my legs. My black Jordan's fit nicely on my feet. My black hair fell from my high ponytail to my shoulders. I walked out of my room and spotted Mason. He was leaning on the wall and looked up at me from his iPhone. Ewww, iPhones. His eyes grew when he saw me. His coal colored eyes turned into a lighter shade, his jaw hung open, gaping at me.

"Ready?" I asked him. He snapped out of it, shaking his head.

"Uh...yeah. Let's go." he said quitely. We got into his car and drove to school. Every minute he would looked at me.

Mat and Crissa arrived at the same time as we did. All four of us got out at the same time. Crissa and I were oddly matching but wore different colors, I wore all black, she wore all white. The guys wore all black, like me. They were matching too, black T-shirt, black skinny jeans, black Convers high tops, and black 'Fall Out Boy' hoodies. Crissa was the only one standing out in our group, until we were completely surrounded by Mat and Mason's other scene friends. Tristan walked past us. When our eyes met, he smiled and gave me a cute wink. Mason didn't look too happy about that. What was his problem? He doesn't control me! He knows the rules about us and our kind. We grow up together, fall in love once, have a child, continue to be friends, loose that child, soon you find him or her. You might be lost about what I'm talking about, but you will soon find out what I'm talking about.

I walked out of the group, and left Crissa behind because she was having a good time with one of the other guys. Tristan waited for me to catch up to him. When I joined him, he smiled brightly. His fiery red hair was messy, sticking up here and there as if he just rolled out of bed. He was so sexy looking. His smile turned into a smirk when he caught me checking him out. I blushed brightly.

"I noticed you never caught my name." he said in a husk tone. "It's Tristan, Tristan Maxwell."

"Daniél Jayda Alexander." I say in return.

"Isn't that a nice name for such a beautiful girl." he said causing me to blush.

Why was I blushing?! He has some sort of affect on me. I wanted to have sex with him right now. See I told you this guy had some sort of affect on me! He smiled at that thought. Wait can he read my thoughts? Oh god!

He leaned in close to me and whispered something that freaked me out. "I sure as hell can." he said in a deep, husk, seductive tone.

I shuddered at that. I could smell him. He smelled like men's Polo. His lips brushed against me ear, then he nibbled on it for a little. Oh god! That felt so fuckin' good!

"You should be careful of what you think, Daniél Alexander. You think of any other guy besides me, I promise I will hurt him. But if you're thinking about me, I'll might be ok with it. Based on how you're thinking about me. Understand?" he whispered.

"Yes." I reply. He smirked at what he was doing to me.

"We should get to school. C'mon let's go." he said walking ahead of me.

Wait, was he strutting? Oh god it's hilarious! He turned around to face me. His face was a mix of a glare and the duck face. Now he has me rolling on the ground from laughter. He looms over me with a curious look on his face. Oh shit that look he gave me was so sexy. His right eyebrow lifted with curiosity, a smirk glued on his lips, and mischief filled in his eyes. He picked me up and set me on my feet. We walked into the school building with every pair of eyes on us. Creepy. Tristan stared down ever guy who checked me out. He walked me to my locker. I grabbed my things as he waited for me. We walked to class, but stopped when I spotted the two bitches messing with my boys. I walked up to them, taped them on the shoulder and socked them when they faced me.

"Ya know, when y'all ran down the hall like scared girls, I thought y'all learned your lesson." I say pissed off. Their eyes widened when they saw me. They turned around to Mat and Mason, said sorry, and ran off down the hall.

"Thanks." Mat says to me. I turn around to Tristan to walk to class. I caught him giving Mat the death glare. What the fuck is his problem?! This guy hates Mat for some damn reason. What crawled up his ass and died? I forgot about him and walked my self to class. Crissa was already there.

"Hey, how come you don't stick up for your cousin?" I ask her. She looks at the floor.

"I just don't wanna. He used to make fun of me when we were little." she lied to me.

"Fine." I say playing along with her lie. Tristan came in a minute later.

"You knows she's lying to you, right?" he said pulling me to an empty desk.

"Yeah. I know." I said looking him in the eye.

"Why didn't you confront her?" he asked getting mad.

"Because she won't tell me. She had a hard life growing up. I know, I was there." I say trying to get him to understand and not get mad.

"Why were you there?! You shouldn't be near any of that kind of shit." he said putting his head in his hand.

"Because I was helping her get through it. Her life was no where like mine! Mine was like shit. You couldn't understand! Mason is the only one who can because he was there!" I yell, starting to cry. Tristan's head shot up when I said that. He took one glance at me and pulled me into a kind, loving hug. He held me tightly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know. I shouldn't have snapped like that. Please don't cry! Forgive me?" he pleaded with me. I nodded my head. The way he treated me was so different. Any other guy I'd have a fight with me and would continue to fight with me. Tristan was different. He knew when to stop and comfort me. Any girl would die for him. This seemed like a dream. He was the one for me. Mr. Right.

"OK class!" yelled Mat's dad, starting class. "Free day. You can text, take pictures, and whatever. Do not text other kid in other classes. Don't wanna get in trouble because of you."

Tristan and I pulled apart and took our seats. I took out my phone and looked through my pictures. There were pictures of Tami, Aaron, and me. We took these when we lived in L.A. all over the city. With every picture I passed, my heart sank in, the pain grew bigger, my anger thrived more. How could anyone so ruthless do this to two nice people?

Class ended faster than I thought. So did school. I don't really talk much about school cause not much happens there. You've got teachers you don't wanna see and classes you don't wanna be in. I live my life as normal as I can. I know my life isn't normal or even close. I'm a vampire hunter. So whatever. I don't kill them. It's against my blood line of hunters. We fall in love with them, have children, and live happily ever after. But then there are so many rules you have to follow when finding your mate. Like, you have to have a child with your closest hunter friend who is the opposite sex. You have to do all this stuff when in the relationship with your mate, it varies. Every mating coulpe has a necklace with a different color on it, the girls have heart shaped, diamond necklace, while the guys get dog-tag ones. Complicated right? You have no idea.
