Chapter 21
"Mommy? You awake?" I felt some one with tiny fingers poke me in the cheek and atop of me. "Mommy, wake up." I slowly opened my eyes.
"Hey, sleeping beauty." Tristan said with a sly smile. I rolled my eyes and looked at the little body that sat on top of my stomach.
"Hey, baby, I'm awake. Sleep well?" I ask. He still wore his 'Black Veil Brides' shirt and shorts from last night.
"Yeah," he said, "now get up." He hopped off me. I got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to get dressed and wash up.
"All done? All done." Dylan said when I walked out. "Now, let's go!"
"Go where?" I said as he dragged me through the house. He pulled me straight to my car and in it.
"My house. JJ and Ty are back. We gotta go." He said buckling up.
"Okay." I say and drive off in the direction Dylan told me.
Once we arrived at the house Dylan jumped out of the car before I could put it in park. JJ appeared at the door of the house. Dylan wrapped his small arms around his brother's leg, tightly.
"Hey," he said, "I see someone missed us. I wonder who. Dani, gotta clue?" He looked at me.
"Nope, I don't." I said messing with Dylan. Dylan frowned at his older brother.
"Me, I missed you! JJ!" Dylan yelled.
"Did you hear that? It sounded like a little boy. Wonder who it could be?" He looked down. "Oh hey, Dylan, did ya hear a little kid say he missed me?"
"Yeah, I did! I exist ya know! God!" Dylan stomped right into the house. Seconds later Ty came walking through the door.
"Messed with baby Dyl?" Ty asked. I nod my head. "No wonder he's looking for his teddy. He talks to his teddy when he's mad or annoyed."
"Hey, thanks for watching Dyl. He looks happier. You are a huge help." JJ thanked me.
"No problem, anytime. It was fun watching him, reminded me of Tami." I said without thinking.
"Who's Tami?" Ty asked. He studied me cautiously.
"Tami...Tami is just a friend. Well I should get going. Tell Dylan I left, bye." I said quickly making a run for my car.
My phone buzzed in my cup holder. I looked at who was calling and answered.
"Hey, Tris."
"Tris?" I could hear the amusement in his voice, which made me roll my eyes.
"I thought it would be cute, Tristan. I guess you like Tristan better." I say in a sad tone.
"I'm good with Tris. So..." he trailed off.
"So?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to go out on a date? You and me, no one else." Oh. My. Fucking. God. He asked me out. On a date. Why the hell am I freaking out?!
"Dani? You there?"
"Yeah, I...I'd love to. Go on a date." I hear him chuckle on the other end.
"Kay, pick you up around nine. See ya then, love." The line went dead a second after. I zoomed all the way home just to tell my mom.
"NO WAY!" she yelled. "He did not."
"Oh, yes he did. He asked me out on a date, mom. Tristan asked me out on a freaking date." I said in a sing song voice.
I checked the clock and dashed up stairs. It was eight o'clock and I didn't care if I had an hour to get dressed. I showered and got dressed in my red braw and panties. I knew exactly what to wear and headed for my closet. I pulled out a black, loose crop top that was see through, a nice black pencil skirt, and a pair of heeled sneakers that were also black. I got dressed in under forty minutes and applied my liquid liner and mascara. My hair was all dried and fell in loose curls.
"Hey, love. Ready to go?" he said hugging me from behind.
"Yup, you?" I said a little nervous. He smiled down at me.
"I'm always ready. Let's go." He lead me to his car and opened the door for me. I slid into the leather seat and watched Tristan close the door and make his way over to the driver seat. We drove to this beautiful clif that over looked the city.
"What are we doing here?" I asked a little curious.
"This is our date spot. Don't worry, I packed a picnic basket for two." He pulled the basket out if his trunk and we sat and ate.
After eating we sat on the hood of his car and looked over the brightly lit city. It was so lovely.
"The purples balance out the blues. This would be so magical to paint." I said amazed.
"Yeah, it would. This could be our little get away spot." I felt his hot breath fan my neck.
He slowly kissed my neck. Delicately laying his lips on my skin. Then, all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain go shooting up my neck. Hot liquid trickled down my neck. I lightly touched where the liquid was coming from and looked at my fingers. Blood. My blood to be exact.
"My God, Dani. I...I...I didn't mean to..." he shuddered.
"You bit me. You bit me? I get that your a vampire, Tristan, but you didn't have to bite me!" My soft, shocked tone soon grew and sounded angry. He fucking but me! Why would he bite me? How could he? How dare he bite me. I looked at him. My blood circled his mouth.
"Dani, please, I didn't mean to. You...you know I wouldn't hurt—"
"—Me? Well guess what Tristan, you just fucking did. Stay the hell away from me. I...I hate you. I can't stand you!" My voice grew strong and beyond angry. I could feel his hurt, but he hurt me.
"Dani—" he pleaded.
"No! Just stay the hell away from me!" I ran off in a random direction. My surrounding turned into a blur. I ran all the way home and up to my room. All these questions ran through my mind.
"Hey, you—oh my god. What the hell happened?" Mason appeared at my door and rushed to my bed.
"Tristan bit me." I broke out into a sob. I felt Mason's arms wrap around me. He stroked my hair and held me tightly to his chest.
"Shhhh, its okay. I'm sure he didn't mean to. I'm sure—" he paused. "Dani, I figured out something."
